Descripción
Mining rebalance for Xavorion - adapts Mining Turrets to match new Arms Generator,
adds missing progression for mining that works well with other gameplay changes.

This module is intended only for full Xavorion Overhaul, and does not add any value to base game by itself.

Part of "Avorion - eXtended" gameplay overhaul.
For more information, check "Xavorion: eXtended Avorion" mod page.

Sandbox mining progression

Replacing Vanilla material-by-material progression, Xavorion introduced a three Tier system.
Outer, Inner and Core regions of galaxy differ in material tiers, keeping Avorion locked to the Core region.

Outer regions contain mostly Iron, Titanium and Naonite, but rare occurence of higher tier materials is allowed.

Reworked Mining
For more information, check Xavorion: Mining

Mining turrets come in four variants, from penetrating beams to rocket launchers,
adding a little bit of gameplay value to, otherwise boring, rock shooting.

As material use is less restriced, mining higher tier materials becomes more difficult.
Larger ships, or even mining fleets will be required at later stages of the game.

Mod Support - Orders and Looping

1.0 Orders and Looping has extended support, with a fix to mining income in simulated sectors.
Pre 2.0 mining loops can be used as an alternative to Mining Expeditions now.

Titanium should be around 3 - 5 GW, there's either something wrong with your modlist, or you've seen trinium/xanion mining turret. Material zones are different here, so you can see them early on.

no... thats barely out of the iron sectors lol

the 40 gw weapon was literally a blue titanium mining exca launcher

@::Maethendias::

That's around Xanion, at this point you're supposed to have mining Frigates, where that energy is not an issue.
You can read about new gameplay and progression stuff at in-game encyclopedia. X is a different game

when a single mining turret eats 40 GIGA of energy something is wrong

i dont know if its intended, but mining turrets require WAAAAAAAAAAY too much energy
like, UNREASONABLE amounts of energy its kind of obnoxious

@Zébulo

I'm finishing one last update. Just checked your idea, feels fun for manual mining.
So... I'll check it for balancing issues, and if nothing shows up there - gonna push it with last update.

Thanks! :D

oh damn, i should have read your latest message to see that you're not modding anymore. That's a shame, you did a heck of a good work.

If i may, after trying a bit the mining system, i would suggest to change the way your rocket miners are working. It should have a long reload time as the player would aim for the rock and not miss it (or loose some productivity time). Increasing the rocket dommage and requiring much more energy to fire (that would add some energy management to it)
Adding on top of it some hazard (like small chances of a rock being propulsed by the explosion and might hit the ship would be very cool)

I suggest that, because i feel like the ever shooting rocket launcher is not very pleasant nor realistic. Give us explosions !

@Halcyon

Accepted your invite.
Good luck with SDK, took me few weeks to add support for just KnifeHeart mission pack.
It may be a lot of work to mix overhauls. I'll try to answer any questions, but since Final Content Update - I'm finished with modding.
