Croft Manor TRII Beta v0.50

Description
An almost exact replica of Lara's Home/Croft Manor from Tomb Raider II.

The map is still in beta, so there may be some bugs or missing features.

Since v0.50, it should now be possible to play the map without errors/missing textures without needing CS:S or HL2 content loaded.


Changelog:

Changes in v0.50:
All of the game's original static meshes are now present in the map, including the fish statue, oven, meat in freezer, etc.
Expanded the gun cupboard in Lara's room. However, the cupboard door is now locked, and you must find a key somewhere in the map to open the door
Removed the speaker effect from the Venice music, so it now plays throughout the whole map again
Added more textures
Added a few more sound effects
Renamed map file to include version number

Changes in v0.41:
Fixed a missing player clip brush at the back of the diving board steps
Increased the distance you can hear the Venice music to prevent certain speakers from cutting the sound out

Changes in v0.40:
Added more textures and models
Added HDR lighting
Added cubemaps
Added sound effects to buttons being pressed
The Venice music now plays from individual speakers, giving a stereo effect
The basement door will now stay open after opening it via the button in the maze
The bathroom, Lara's bedroom, and kitchen windows now leave a broken frame behind after being smashed
Increased optimisation with hint and areaportal brushes
Renamed map file to Croft_Manor_TRII_Gmod

Changes in v0.30:
Added some plants and furniture around the house
Most doors now have to be "used" to open and close them
All windows are now breakable
Fixed the stairs so now NPCs can walk up/down them
Fixed water textures

Possible future updates:
Working zip-line on assault course
Separate night time version of the map or day/night transitions
Adding the Butler as an NPC

Known bugs in v0.50:
The texture for the piano in the music room is missing transparency, despite efforts to fix it. I will look into it.

man...my childhood. i was 10 or 11 when my stepfather introduced me to this game. and i was born in 1996

My older brother had all 3 games at the time and i enjoyed playing them however no longer have them and i kind of miss them.
Never got passed the level with the dino's though i don't recall which one that was.

Alway's looked forward to what the next map/level had to offer.
Have been looking for more TR map's for gmod but haven't been having much luck.

@ dscottwilson: ♥Shantae™ is not copying Vexxie. While Vexxie is creating a complete remake of Croft Manor, this map tries to look like a port from the 1997 original game. And this map was created many years ago, before Vexxie started her map. I played this map in Garrys Mod and CSS.

You are blaming ♥Shantae™ for no reason.

brings back good memories of my youth and trapping the butler in the freezer. good times.
by the way, I would love to see a night time version of this map!

It's a cool map but it would be cool if most of the furniture and water textures and most of the other map textures were exactly the same as the game. But I shouldn't complain this is the only good Croft Manor map we have on Gmod right now..
