Description
Make genome excavator in Vanilla Genetics Expanded won't directly kill creature.

In Biotech human won't die from moderate gene extractor, so in theory genome excavator is the same.

This mod changes the behavior of excavator. When used on living creatures, instead of "brain extracted" and instantly kill the creature, it gives a "genes regrowing" hediff, the same as what Biotech does. The hediff lasts for 100~140 days, while it exists you cannot excavate the second time, quite long but the creature does alive.

To embrace the new not means to abandom the old. No more “necessary sacrifice" on your faithful pets.

PS: this mod doesn't need Biotech

I would assume this mod still works unless some code has had a major change to it?

No config menu. If you use with biotech, there's mod can do so like [FSF] FrozenSnowFox Tweaks. If not, you can edit it in file.
If you use it again, you will be stoped with a message, so no risk of misuse. If really want a second genome during hediff lasts, kill the creature, so you can excavate again.

Is there a config for modifying the length of the hediff?
And does it kill if you use it again while the hediff lasts?
