What is this?
This mod started as a fun little way to add some extra fluff for my streamed campaigns, and after some interest from viewers has turned into a fully fledged standalone Reinforcement system.

It adds 11 different droids, the 'M.E.M.E.B.O.T.S.' that spawn in as reinforcements on the X-Com team under the Commander's full control. Each time 1 of the 11 will be summoned at random via PsiGate. If you can keep it alive long enough to summon additional 'M.E.M.E.B.O.T.S.' you could possibly summon the first one again, though the odds are against that happening.

The 'M.E.M.E.B.O.T.S.' themselves are a nod to the 11 members of the management team of the MEME discord, each of whom are established modders. Consider this a celebration of their dedication to the community.

Each 'M.E.M.E.B.O.T.' also has the following perks:
  • MEMEiaturized Munitions - grants them their Heavy Weapon slot, and +1 charge to those with charges.
  • Deep Cover - auto-Hunker if you don't attack this turn.

M.E.M.E.B.O.T. stats - 5HP, 5 Shield HP, 1 Armour, 14 Mobility, 20 Defence, 10 Dodge, 69 Aim.

So, how do I go about summoning this colourful bunch?
There are 2 ways you can summon the 'M.E.M.E.B.O.T.S.' and 1 method they will appear on their own;
  • Hack Reward - You will occasionally get "Activate M.E.M.E.B.O.T." as a Tier 2 hack reward. This will summon 1 'M.E.M.E.B.O.T.' at random.
  • GTS - Build M.E.M.E. Beacon - This grants the active perk "M.E.M.E.B.O.T. Activate" to every member of the squad. It summons 1 'M.E.M.E.B.O.T.' at random. 9 Turn Global Cooldown, can't use whilst concealed. The GTS purchase costs 100 Supplies & 1 Codex Brain.
  • SitRep: M.E.M.E.B.O.T.S. - Sitrep that places a random M.E.M.E.B.O.T. under your control at the start of the mission, positioned slightly away from the squad.

Required Mods

Compatibility
UFOpedia & Bestiary - The M.E.M.E.B.O.T.S. will show up in Crew Screening on Loading the Save for the first time and on new Campaign start.
Soldier Info Redux - Allows the M.E.M.E.B.O.T.S.' special 'class' icon to display in the HUD.

Bright Eyes M.E.M.E.B.O.T.S. gain the Bright Eyes perk.

Should be fine to add mid-campaign.

The mod's assets have been cooked.

Known Issues
The M.E.M.E.B.O.T. summoned will appear in the Cinematic for the next Reinforcement pod if it arrives via the dropship (no matter which side spawns them), though it will not spawn a second time, this is purely an issue with the Cinematic.

Occasionally you will get no Reinforcement spawn, this is due to the MaxUnit cap for units present in the mission being reached (this is ALL units no matter what side they are on), which prevents any reinforcements from spawning. By default this is 50, but some mods do alter it. It is wise to ensure you are not running close to this number before triggering a M.E.M.E.B.O.T. summon.

You can simply comment out the sitrep in the configs so it never gets added to the pool

I love the style of crafting a beacon, then having a friendly neighbourhood droid. But I want to deactivate the sitrep part. Is it possible to find guidance here?

Hi, I'm playing a campaign with Proficiency Class Pack, CI, and Additional Mission Types Redux. I had an infiltration mission with the objective of recovering resistance operative with memebot sitrep, but there was no droid. Only a Faction soldier and some resistance soldiers. The sitrep came from overinfiltrating. I looked the memebot mod's .ini files but couldn't pinpoint the issue. Any ideas to fix it?

Use Mitzruti's Droid Trooper mod, it's what I used as the base. The colouring etc I want to keep exclusively to this mod as it is meant as a tribute to the members of the management of the MEME discord.

I run amalgamation + memebots and don't have the problem, so no it's something else conflicting with it.

Yes ability to Slot is in use. I was sure it was with amalgamation. But turned out I was wrong. After binary research it is meme. Looks like its the one in a thousand Case.

Must be a .od conflict somewhere as I don't get this issue myself and this mod doesn't touch Launch Grenade or anything like that. Are you using Ability To Slot ReAssignment? Part of the reason I moved Abizi-bot away from the Grenade Launcher is atsr issues when using Amalgamation

Since last update from 07. nov I found a glitch with meme. I can reproduce it on my site but must not be the case for others. With meme activated, all grenadier classes with grenade launcher lose in tactical the use of grenades, they are not shown anymore. Maybe interesting for those to know if there are more with this error. I have to switch it off for now to play on.
