Description
Gladius Recolored (or is it Recoloured)

This is a cosmetic only mod. I adjusted the saturation and contrast levels of all textures in the game, not including the UI. The overall goal with the color set used in this mod was to create a more vibrant colorful setting.

Additional Changes

Aside from the saturation and contrast adjustments these changes have been made:
  • Separated Sky into two textures. One for cloud shadows and one for casting onto the water.
  • Reduced intensity of red tint for the ambient volcanic light.
  • Increased the emission levels for the lava bits on the volcanic tiles.
  • Increased flow speed of the rivers.

Future Plans
I intend to add a half dozen tinted alternative color sets, and then ultimately a method of randomizing between them for increased map variance.

Compatibility
This mod only changes the texture files themselves, but it does change almost all of the textures. Make sure this mod is placed at the bottom of the load order so that other mods custom textures load properly.

This mod will not conflict with any scaling mods.

Gladius+ also replaces many textures. For textures that are in both mods, whichever mod is higher in the load order will be used.

This mod works well with my Full Citadel Color Set mod.

I play with depth fog disabled, so I have not adjusted anything related to it.

@Kurziel I installed your mod earlier this evening and I am not having the Brush issue that subaru.wrx540 reported. However, I am only using four mods (including yours) and none of them touch texture or scale. BTW... Love the new vibrant color scheme. Excellent work! :steamthumbsup:

@subaru.wrx540 and @Vaultwulf Do you have another mod enabled that could be affecting brush? Maybe a scaling mod? I can not replicate the screenshot's brush levels. I posted a screenshot above of a similar arctic river features from this mod, link for convenience: https://rb.gy/fyqhu7

Hi Kurziel,

one more time, thank you for great mod.
One thing that I would like being made bit better is about Brush.
it is so big that you don't see river below it and even wire weed is hard to notice.
and both of these are more important then brush.
also since it is wider than hex you don't see unit possible movement zone line and very often I misjudge movement.
Would be good to make it smaller so rivers, wire weed and movement zone can be seen.

Unfortunately, not sure what you're referring to then. Recaf is a vegetation feature, not an outpost type. Unless you're referring to the grey outpost outline that exists before you build on an outpost.

Different. The recaf outpost border is present but there is nothing inside.
