Improved and New Methods to Cycle Through Armies

Description
This mod changes how the game switches from an army/hero to another when using the arrows on each side of the character name at the bottom of the screen.

Without this mod, the game cycles through armies depending on their location on the map from east to west (or from west to east). What's annoying for me is that the rotation order is dynamically updated whenever a lord/hero moves. It means that if I click on the right arrow to switch from army 1 to army 2, then move the army 2 to the east of army 1, clicking the right arrow again won't switch me to army 3, instead it will switch back to army 1 because it's now to the west of army 2.

Another annoying scenario is if you move the army 2 to the west of army 3 then click the right arrow, it will skip army 3 and switch to army 4 instead which makes the vanilla system feel unreliable.

What changes with this mod by default :
The locations of all lords and unembedded heroes are saved at the start of each turn and aren't updated when an army/hero moves. It means that the rotation will remain consistent during the turn even when heroes/armies are moved east/west of others. New lords and unembedded heroes will be placed at the end of the rotation order.

Moreover, the cycle is reversed compared to vanilla. If you click on the right arrow it will move from the west to the east instead of from the east to the west.

That's not all though, it's optional but if you also use the Mod Configuration Tool you will get access to more settings :

First, keep the checkbox ticked if you want a more consistent rotation order that only gets updated at the start of each turn. Otherwise, if you uncheck the box, the order will be dynamically updated like in the base game every time an army/hero is selected, moved, etc.

Here are the different cycle methods :
Longitude (X-axis)
Switches from an army/hero to another depending on their locations on the campaign map from west to east or from east to west.

Alphabetical
Switches from an army/hero to another depending on their name. With this method you can decide the rotation order yourself by renaming the characters. When renaming, it's the text box at the top that is taken into account by the mod.

Level
Cycles through armies/heroes from the lowest to the highest level or vice-versa.

Upkeep
Cycles through armies/heroes from the lowest to the highest upkeep or vice-versa.

ID-based
Switches from an army/hero to another depending on their internal unique ID. The ID being hidden in the game, it will mostly look like a "random" rotation order but that remains consistent.

Latitude (Y-axis)
Switches from an army/hero to another depending on their locations on the campaign map from south to north or from north to south.

How to use hotkeys with this mod :
Unfortunately, the default hotkeys to cycle through armies don't work with this mod but it's possible to bind new hotkeys to do the same thing. Note however that the hotkeys to cycle through armies and the ones to cycle through settlements will be different since the ones for settlements will still be the old ones.

1. Open the pause menu
2. Go in the keyboard shortcuts menu
3. In the Universal tab, look for "View camera bookmark 11" and "View camera bookmark 12"
4. Just add any key you want for these actions :
"View camera bookmark 11" is the hotkey for the left arrow
"View camera bookmark 12" is the hotkey for the right arrow
5. Apply changes and now you should be able to cycle through armies with the keys you bound

This mod shouldn't have any compatibility issue and can be activated/deactivated at any time during a campaign.

@A1一小阿梅, I just updated the mod, in the shortcuts menu "View camera bookmark 11" is the hotkey for the left arrow and "View camera bookmark 12" is the hotkey for the right arrow.

See the section How to use hotkeys with this mod : in the mod description for more details.

@Freiya, that's even better than what I suggested!

@A1一小阿梅, @Spray&Pray, I find a way to make the mod cycle with hotkeys too, however you will need different hotkeys to cycle between armies and to cycle between settlements. If that's good enough for you, I can submit the update and add a small note in the mod description showing how to bind the hotkeys ?

Maybe there is a way to replace the command to cycle next army command with the select next/previous unit commands, this would allow the use of hotkeys and modifiable keybinds. The only thing keeping me back from using the mod is that fact that I can't use my select next unit hotkeys to cycle armies

@Spray&Pray, Unfortunately, there is no hotkey to manage that. I don't know if it's possible to implement hotkeys with mods.

Is there anyway to hotkey the cycling? I currently cycle through armies by right/left arrow, but it seems like this mod doesn't allow that?

Would it be possible to sort by recruitment order?
