Description
FIXED FOR February 2024 MCC UPDATE

Minor changes and bug fixes

An enormous campaign overhaul for halo 3 adding new weapons, encounters, characters, vehicles, animations, mechanics, balancing, and a whole lot more. Making halo 3 feel like a brand new enhanced game while keeping all of its original fun content.

****With most recent version this should be automatic.
Put files located in fmod\pc INTO THE SAME DIRECTORY IN THE MCC FOLDER OR SOME SOUNDS WONT WORK!!

Story:
For anyone who wants the immersive story of why there are some elites on the brutes side. A very select few of elites that were exceptional in combat were kept in the covenant by the prophets. Others refused to leave as their belief in the great journey was far too strong and had been engraved in them since birth. They took an oath to serve, even under the brutes, if it meant they could still aid and join the great journey. Others that left the covenant went on to form a mercenary faction so they could continue to do all that they have ever known how to do, fight. They would fight for honor, the thrill of combat, and for the highest bidder. During the events of halo 3, the prophets decided that they needed expendable muscle to combat the elites that had followed the Arbiter in joining forces with the humans. The mercenary faction accepted for a high price. They are a ruthless battle hardened faction much more in line with the mentality of the banished faction. They only care about the fight and gaining honor through defeating many strong foes and proving their worth.

the only thing scarier then a jackal with a sniper rifle is a jackal with a sniper rifle in active camo make it happen.

I did that, but the shield stayed up. Maybe it had something to do with all the covies I left behind? I'll check again later on but thanks for the info! Hopefully that will be the last major hiccuup in an otherwise great mod.

It's a good mod, adds a ton of challenge with lots of enemies, and allies. Other ex-covenant fight alongside with you, which is an awesome addition! Now I understand why bungie decided to do elites only, makes it less confusing of who is friend/foe.

The flood levels were quite fun. The overwhelming amount of flood really puts into perspective the danger of the zombie-like plague.

"The Covenant" level really stood out. Not going to spoil, but that was a really awesome twist.

Biggest piece of criticism of this mod is the vehicle sections are terrible. You die way too fast in vehicles, and it got to the point it was annoying. I was playing on normal difficulty, and sentinels can kill you on the last stretch of the warthog run on the last level in a matter of seconds. The scarab encounter on "The Ark" needs to be reworked. The AA gun mounted on it is WAY too overpowered.

TLDR: Good mod, vehicle sections suck

I love this mod, the new variety of enemies and weapons is perfect, just like playing halo for the first time (actually the 1564738 time). Only a few things don't work really good in my opinion: 1, the carabine variant does not feels good because the long pause between shots, 2, the ai of some enemies sometime don't realize they are in a fight and just stand there still without reacting, last thing during the worthog run the arbiter vanish right before boarding the hog and no matter what he wont spawn. Beside those few minor inconveniences (but i really miss the arbiter in the hog run), the general work with this mod is really impressive and i really enjoyed my playtrought. Good job my friend.
