Whats CDDA Zomboids

CDDA Zomboids is a modified version of CDDA Zombies by HW_Lover , how ever I added new zombie types and revamped old ones.
There is over 35 Zombie types .Some have special abilities and others are regular zeds, all of them are customizable in sandbox options.
Rewrite the old code, to be functional in Multiplayer without any errors or issues.
CDDA Zomboids is:
  • 35 Zombie Types with special abilities.
  • Sandbox Customizable highly customizable with sandbox options.
  • Multiplayer without any errors, ssues.
  • New Traits And Occupations as a separate MOD ID.
  • Mod Options support check the section Cataclysm of Dark Days Ahead for client side options.


Zombie types
Some zombie types will check your character traits, also compatible with more traits mod, the check happens: on Initial hit from the zombie, while attacking, if they get hit, every minute, every five minutes, the traits can hinder you or help you, depending on what you choose.

Small note, if you host a server or dedicated server, make sure Mod Options is installed for both client and server.
Other issue that can happen with Bisect hosting is that it will not save mod ids, if you have bisect hosting or any other provider and the ".ini" is having this after a restart or start:
"Mods=modoptions,CDDADisableBallRoomDancer", then make sure to add DD_Zombie before mod options save then add modoptions save then you can restart the server and it should save the ids and work correctly

Am reading about 1.0 and it sounds impressive. I'm going to try that out.

Yes this issue has been fixed for the new 1.0 version, it seemed to be a zombie update before issue was fixed since i reworked every laggy thing there if i apply that patch it will break current mod.
There is a update sandbox option that could help lowering it make it 50% faster to update nearby zombies.

I have an interesting bug that happens when there are a lot of zombies on screen;

All zombies, no matter their type, will begin sprinting at the same exact time. It will last sometimes for a second, other times it will last 5 seconds or more. Then all at the same time they'll go back to their normal speed based on their type. I have ferals, hulks, etc on the low side of population so they'll be mixed into the groups but when a crowd that I've got corralled all starts sprinting I have to pause the game asap, wait a moment, unpause, and sprint on the opposite direction hoping the crowd doesn't catch me.

This also happens when I pan the camera to my max distance, and I can observe zombies sprinting as their default movement, only to come back down to a normal speed when I approach.

I don't have any mods that are listed as incompatible so I'm unsure what the issue might be coming from; my only thought is that my mod list is fairly large so it might be a cpu/memory/resource issue?

@IronLungs i have fixed it was two events running behind checking every zombie.
this has been fixed now it will only run it if zombie data is none exsistant
