Description

Hello all togther !

This is a small network, which I initially wanted to release after PP was published... but that time you werent able to use the new PP road templates.

This has been fixed and heres the network. ;)
Its nothing special or big, but you have some options (via AN) after all. ;)

  • reused textures from other releases
  • possibility to change the inner and outer parts
  • 2 different cobblestone - variants [center / edge]
  • base concrete [edge]
  • theme grass / theme gravel [center]
  • 2 different tree layouts [vanilla / potatoe trees - changeble via AN]
  • there´s a little prop pack, which I created for these networks [will be used for others too]
  • straight connections on nodes [manual! explained down below]
  • all Props / Trees can be deactivated in order for you to customize the road yourself
  • mixed usable with vanilla PP roads
  • only ground version

  • Overview of all AN Customisation - Options [currently incomplete]

  • create Connections on Nodes via AN - Segment Flags

  • 1. you always have to do that manually
  • 2. the pic shows a junction with a vanilla PP road

  • 1. in order to create a connection, you have to activate the flag on both segments
  • 2. your network custimazations must also match [otherwise no connection is created]
  • 3. there are 2 possibilities in the drop down menu; - these must also match

  • the reason for all this is/was that I:
  • - 1. wanted "straight connections" [hence the manual use]
  • - 2. avoid z-fighting / clipping [both connection - types are on different heights]
  • the pic down below shows such a "cross" connection with differnt types]

  • The center - Variants [theme-] Grass/Gravel have a cobblestone Node - Model
  • both versions

  • node - Model
  • here are the 2 tree - layouts
  • - the base versions comes with MrMaisons awesome Eastern Cottonwood - Tree [vanilla]
  • - the other versions contains my Potatoe Trees [not that nice, but light ;)]

  • without the Adaptive Network - Mod by Kian Zarin, this network would be some kind of "mesh mess", therefore AN is absoulutely needed

  • Prop Pack - which I initially created for this network [will be further used]
  • Those Props are just decoration, but I highly suggest to use them as well. They´re very light weight, optimized for the LSMr and can individually be deavtivated via AN.
  • Potato Trees Pack [also lightweight and small in file size]

As always ;)

Loading Screen Mod - created by thale5, fixed and updated by Klyte45 and
now maintained and improved by algernon.

I´ll add them when they are back ... ;)

If you like this addition to the workshop... and you want more,
you could give it a thumbs up. :) That would be very much appreciated !!! :)

Hi. Thanks ! :) And thanks for the info ! ... it definitely doesn't look the way it should on your pic ... that much I can tell you ;). I'll look in to that at the weekend ...

Hey Clus, first of all I really love your roads and hope this really is worth mentioning and not just a me-problem and/ or mod conflict (although I wouldnt know which mod would cause that)

Is it possible the latest update kinda broke the connection nodes for this network? The textures don't stop at the sidewalk like they are meant to but instead extend onto the road as if you dragged them with moveit (example: https :/steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2951052746)

Again sorry if its a conflict (and my fault because I didnt check my mods one by one lol) but thought it might be worth bringing up in case anybody else got that problem :)

@Bonovision Thanks ! ;) tbh ... I definitely like the PP-mechanics, that's why purchased it, twice :D ... but I don't like any (!) of the vanilla networks which come along with it. ;) ... won't go further in to detail. It seems to me, that some people like this network here... therefore there will be more. ;)

@majin_kratos Correct, it does nothing because it just "holds the place" for additional stuff in the future. There is a technical reason for it beeing visible for the user ... but don't worry, it just sits there. :)

What does "placeholder" do? Nothing happens

@clus, Not to worry about your reply! Life outside is pretty important. As for your context, that's totally fair. In that case I feel that PP was worth it for you in what it adds to the game given that you've made an asset for it. =)

@Bonovision sry for the late reply ... haven't had much time this week. To answer your question .. tbh I cant really do that... :/ ..you have to decide whether you'd use the extra content in your game/playstyle etc or not. PP introduced completey new (or different to use) game mechanics, which can't be fully mimicked in game without the dlc... therefore for example a DLC -free version of 4his network will look the same, but won't work the same way as this one here does.
@snowflitzer many thanks ! :)

@clus Would appreciate your perspective on buying the PP DLC given your level of game mechanics and what you design: is what it adds worth the price or would you have in hindsight waited for something like your DLC-free workshop assets?
