*** NOTICE ***

I don't currently have a lot of interest in updating race mods I don't personally use or have an vested interest in. It is likely a great many of these mods will not see a further update. Anyone is welcome to take what I have posted and continue it further. Please credit the original author (crediting me is not necessary but a mention of my custodianship is always appreciated).

Thank you for your understanding.

Original mod notes (1.3):

Adds the Moonjellies: A diminutive race of jellyfish-like beings.

Lore:

The Moonjellies are small, friendly, and gelatinous. Widely revered throughout the universe for their astounding medical capabilities, many people make pilgrimages to the lush moonjelly homeworlds as a last resort from life-threatening illnesses.

Unfortunately the moonjelly's kindly nature is often exploited. Many moonjellies end up captured and forced to do medical labour, or worse, hunted for their valuable healing mucus. Will your colony be a safehaven for any wandering moonjellies? Or will they be on a never ending priority 1 medical and butchered when they have a mental break? Time to find out!

Attributes:

Advantages:
+ Moonjellies are super speedy! They zip around the map much faster than a human.
+ Greatly increased medical speed and tend quality!
+ Toxic immunity, and increased immune speed!
+ Anaesthesia-Inducing basic melee attacks

+ Moonjellies can use their inherent healing proteins to regenerate lost parts and recover from permanent wounds. This can happen once every 1-5 days and will knock the jelly out for a while as their body recovers. Be careful this doesn't happen at the wrong moment!

Drawbacks:
- Small carrying capacity
- Extremely fragile in combat
- More sensitive to temperatures

Other details:

Moonjellies are carnivores and will only eat meat
Able to wear any apparel
Drops unique medicine items on butchering
Unique race name generation
Spawns in starting colonists, as an NPC tribe, and as wanderers and slaves

Update: Yep, it was NL face animation causing the jellies to go headless. Turns out disabling facial animations in the mod settings is just a click away, and now I have my cute jellies running around with heads. Commenting just in case someone who runs NL face animations (needed for ratkin face animations and Moelotl race facial animations) suddenly find their jellies headless.

I have a slight problem with the mod. It seems that every single moonjelly that my game spawns are completely headless. The xenotype mod mentioned being incompatible with NL face animation, which I have installed. could that be the case?

Thank you for your quick update! It's now working! <3

Thanks for the report, pushed an update to fix that. Hopefully that's the last ...

I can't seem to pick the heartjelly head type because it shows up as the drill type for me. I'm using EPC, btw.
Kihtan 31 mei om 10:16
I thought thats how it was supposed to be. Cause they are biologically basic and can regenerate their head anyway.

Thanks for the report, I just pushed a fix, I appreciate your patience!

hello , I’ve found a mistake . that is the head of moonjelly disappears so they walk as if they are living dead

I appreciate the reply. I'm not fimillair with the difficulties of coding, but I'm sure it's a genuine problem that requires extreme teduise measures to resolve.

Regen has been spotty in my testing as well and I'm not sure what to do about it. It uses the Community Framework linked above for that functionality, I'll take another look at this soon.
