Boomer mods also tend to not work on official servers if they use custom exploded legs.

There are some campaigns where the exploded model will cause the game to crash, but none of the official campaigns use the exploded Boomer model as set dressing and only custom campaigns have used them. However, it works for me. Have you tried setting sv_consistency to 0 in the console? It won't work unless you set sv_consistency to 0. It's set to 1 by default.
