Halo 3: Combat Evolved

Descrição

Halo 3: Combat Evolved is a mod for Halo 3: ODST that re-creates the Halo: Combat Evolved Multiplayer and Campaign experiences within Halo 3: ODST.

Information
The mod is HEAVILY work in progress, bugs, issues and missing content is to be expected. I am the only person working on this mod currently and remaking all levels from Combat Evolved, polishing them, ai placement, scripting and more takes a huge amount of my time so there is bound to be issues I overlook during development. If you found any bugs or have general feedback make sure to let me know!

Because this mod utilizes the Halo 3 ODST engine, you can play through Halo: Combat Evolved's campaign with up to 4 players in online Co-Op. A few select cutscenes have also been modified to account for the increased player count.

While I wanted the mod to stay as close as possible to Combat Evolved, I eventually made the decision to introduce cut content from Combat Evolved as well as a few custom (non intrusive) encounters to spice up the campaign and give it a fresh coat of paint.

Cut content such as encounters, scripts, items and set pieces have been re-added.

How to Play
To play, simply just subscribe to the mod and wait until the download is finished. Once finished you need to launch MCC with EAC Disabled.

For Campaign you need to head over to Campaigns > Halo 3: ODST > Halo 3: Combat Evolved and select any level.

For Multiplayer you need to head over to Multiplayer > Custom Multiplayer > Halo 3: ODST > Modded Maps. Unlike Campaign, all of the workshops items you've subscribed to are shown. Halo 3: Combat Evolved maps will have "Halo 3: Combat Evolved" in the end of their descriptions.

For Firefight you need to head over to Firefight > Halo 3: ODST Custom Firefight > Modded Missions. Just like Multiplayer, all of the workshop items you've subscribed to are shown.

This mod is awesome, I would also like to see The pillar of Autumn and Silent Cartographer in this mod as they are my 2 favorite missions. This mod is a blast to play. It totally feels like I'm playing Halo 3.

i really really like this mod its so nice, if i may recommend something, i think there should be more ambient sounds in keys, sometimes it feels oddly barren going trough the level, in halo ce there are so many ambient sounds and tracks that play to keep your ears occupied. the level is great and is super fun and looks amazing!

Mint Blitz's recent video brought me back here. Amazing work on this, thank you. I feel like it could still use some polish, but overall VERY solid. Felt like it should have been DLC for the original Halo 3. For anyone who had the same problem as me after the update, I had to unsubscribe and then subscribe again. Once I did that the new level shows up.

Think you made the Special Force Covenant in the Keyes level a little tough, also are you planning to do the rest of Combat Evolved in the future?

(Pt.2) The plasma rifle feels weirdly too strong per bullet. Elites comically dodge Needler fire, even dodging immediately after just dodging. Why do the Flood combat forms dodge Needler fire? Not sure if they did that in CE and I'm not even sure if they did that in 3. The assault rifles bloom to be 100% accurate shouldn't increase when tap firing. If you release the trigger with each bullet fired you should be able to fire as fast as you can fan the trigger and it should always keep the bullets in the reticle. Other than some inaccuracy with weapon functions, I enjoyed the mod. Mostly for its looks and set pieces.

I think the Mod is visually amazing. Weapons feel... off. Plasma pistol, Magnum, Sniper, and Shotgun feel amazing. That said, the lack of the snipers night vision down scope is rough because it makes sniping in the dark feel like guess work. Continuing on visibility, the darkness of the Mod perfectly captures CE's dark rooms/night time atmosphere, but the flashlights range should be increased by at least 50% if not doubled if possible. Too many moments where I was telling myself "If this was CE my flashlight should be able to see that guy from this range." Double the reserve ammo for Silenced SMG. (Continued)
