# Roguelike
Revised Vanilla's ideology reform, allowing you to change your ideology by choosing from a limited set of options.
Vanilla's reform have too much freedom, This mod giving you the fun of randomness like a roguelike game, and leads you to a unique play.

# Choose from 4 to change memes

# Freely change 3 random precepts

# Others are free to change : role, ritual, etc...

# You can modify in option

- Points required for reform (starting value) : default 6, vanilla 10
This is the point value required for the first reform.

- Point Increment Value for Reform : default 2
Adjusts the amount of points needed to increase with each reform.

- maximum number of memes : default 5
This is the maximum number of memes an ideology can have.

- number of memes when reform : default 4
The number of memes that appear randomly as during ideological reform.

- Precepts Modifiable Number : default 3
During ideological reform, the number of modifiable Precepts displayed at random.

- Number of rerolls per stage : default 1
During ideological reform, the number of times you can update available memes. The number resets after a successful reform.

# This mod only works with games that started with the "Fluid" Type ideology.
While I tried to leave normal ideology untouched, I recommend removing this mod for a non-fluid ideology playthroughs.

# When the number of memes is at its maximum
only the memes you have will appear in the list and you can remove memes.
The number of memes that appear at this time is the number of memes you have X 34%.

Sure.
I have it working on unstable branch. Don't want to push an update before the official release because mods from unstable sometimes are not compatible with the official

Can confirm removing this mod fixed the blank ideology creation screen that prevented me from interacting with the UI and having to force-close the game through task manager.

Here's the error that flooded the log a thousand times over if its at all useful, but it doesn't seem to say much:
Exception filling window for RimWorld.Dialog_ChooseMemes: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Note to anyone having problems with a blank screen of death when pressing the ideo button. remove this mod to make it disappear, just spent 2H trying to find the problem

So it seems like this mod makes every ideoligion reformable even if you're playing Fixed mode? I'm guessing that's not intentional, but I actually prefer it that way! So, if you ever decide to patch that, can you please leave an option to keep it the way it is?

I'll do the first part as soon as I'll get free time. Probably this weekend, but no promise.

As for choices, I kinda see how it could be interesting, but not sure it will be for me. It'll definitively require quite an amount of work. Currently mod carefully removes elements from existing windows, without any changes to the flow or functionality. I just have other projects that I find more interesting for me, sorry.

Do you plan to improve it?
The idea is good, but the mod have issues.
If you could add a setting "Points required for reform (maximum value)" and make the choice of modifiable precepts skip the precepts that we cannot edit, it would be already great.

After, if you want do more, I think the mod would be more interesting with differents choices:
When reforming, can choose between:
_Memes (the actual system, but only the Meme part)
_Precepts: choice between differents group of X precepts randomly edited/added (currently the precepts inside "Add precepts" are not include in the random, I believe)
_Rituals: something like for the precepts
_Customization: able to freely change the others things (maybe give back half of reform points when chosing this one)
