7/27/2023 Update: Bosses! Behind the scene fixes! Fumo! Check the changelog for details.

"Some people speculate I may have been a great vampire hunter in a past life, and I don't think that's so bad!"

Vampire Hunter is a mod aimed at improving the feel of the game,
with more satisfying feedback, balancing changes, and slight quality of life improvements for a more engaging experience.
Every weapon has been altered, with some changes more drastic than others,
so that they all have a unique purpose and encourage a more varied use of Sakuya's tools.
Even the mansion's residents have a few new tricks up their sleeves.

New, additional sound effects: Guns are louder and punchier,
knives are whooshier and stabbier, and even the Cirno doll is, uh, doll-ier?
Even your foes are more than eager to make their presences known...

Retweaked balance: Most of Sakuya's weapons have been altered to make her less effective at a distance, making for a more challenging experience.
Wanna do real damage? Get up close!

Quality of life: A number of small changes were made so that things feel a little nicer;
Sakuya's hitbox is smaller and she jumps (slightly) higher, new sound effects for healing and picking up keys,
even the menu has blue buttons!

The world is yours: Stopping time has new and interesting effects on Sakuya's arsenal,
especially on higher difficulties...

This is my first time working with DECORATE (despite playing games on this engine for years),
so there may be some bugs and weird oddities here and there, and I sincerely apologize to anyone experienced to happens to go blind looking at my code.

I am always tweaking and learning things, and hardly is anything set in stone.
I hope you enjoy this little project of mine, and long live Touhou Doom!

@Soko that's something I had considered early on, but I couldn't find good enough sprites for it at the time, and neither me nor DOOR are artists so drawing new ones was out of the question. I'll see if I can scavenge something for the next version though!

Please make the basic projectile an actual projectile. Its angled but comes out flat obviously. Its about the only thing I feel needs changed.

Really well thought out balance changes that make weapons lot more enjoyable to use. Good mod.
