You need to change the following lines from your code as follows:
1A. On all of your Hediff Defs, FROM <HediffDef Name="InfectionBase" Abstract="True">
1B. On all your Hediff Defs, TO <HediffDef Name="BalantidiasisBase" Abstract="True">
The SECOND Hediff Def (the Disease itself) MUST NOT have "Abstract='True'" for it to work.
I am not sure how this disease spawns. Does it spawn like the Vanilla rendition's Infection, or does it spawn like Influenza and the Fibrous Mechanites do?
