This mod adds different types of ammo for your archer units to use. Each faction has it's own ammo type it can use.

Since I'm unable to add shot types into the game I'm limited to the ones already in the game that I can add custom descriptions to. Some units have special kinds of ammo that the description does not reflect so pay attention to the arrow's stats.

This sub mod is balanced for SFO and not recommended for vanilla.



Beastmen, Bretonnia, Dark Elves, Kislev - Some units have... explosive results +10 Base damage +5 Large damage +Morale penalty for units hit -5 Armor Piercing +1 second reload time


Dwarfs, Empire, High Elves +7 Armor piercing -7 Base damage +6 seconds reload time


Cathay, Wood Elves +Lowers the morale, and missile resistance of units underneath the volley +1 second reload time -Less accurate, slower arrow speed.


Greenskins, Tomb Kings - Some units have... explosive results +5 Infantry damage +Stat effects on enemy hit -5 Base damage +3 second reload -Less accurate


Dwarfs, Empire, Kislev line infantry +Faster fire rate -Less accurate at range


Dwarfs, Empire, Vampire Coast cannons +More effective against multiple units -Less effective against single units.

@DawianTool Nothings crashing and no units have been added as far as I've seen so none of these need updates.

The great little mod does a nice job of fleshing out stand units and giving them more use/versatility, even tiers 1-ranged units are now more relevant as they may have ammo type that higher tiers do not, making them more needed vs some emeny or situations.
explosive ammo options are great from control, Wood Elves Glade Guard are a lot more useful vs Rats now, fire and poison versions.

Do AI use these ammo types?

It has to be this mod, it happens only when it's active. This is the crash report I get: "The following mods cause a crash to the Database: !ccammo3.pack

The first invalid database record is wh_emp_crossbow_bolt in table projectiles_tables and pack file !ccammo3.pack

The application will terminate now."

After the mod update there is a crash while launching the game :(

Icons and text are fixed now.
