Adrenaline - Panic Counters Tiredness

Description
Adrenaline is a mod that adds a new mechanic to the panic and fatigue (tiredness) systems in Project Zomboid in a way that feels realistic.

What Does It Do?
Adrenaline makes the Panic moodle temporarily reduce your character's fatigue, proportional to how panicked your character is.

This simulates an adrenaline rush, waking the character up and reducing (or even removing) the Tired moodle, allowing the character to perform and fight at a higher level.

This provides a final burst of performance out of the character before they truly require sleep, potentially allowing you to escape dire situations or secure an impromptu safehouse.

Why?
In vanilla, when the 'Drowsy' moodle appears, the character receives a whopping 50% damage debuff, increasing to 80 / 90 / 95% as the character becomes more tired. (Vision and endurance are also reduced)

Because this debuff is so large and it is applied instantaneously upon hitting 60% fatigue with no prior warning, I felt that it would be more balanced to allow the moodle to be temporarily reduced under stressful circumstances.

However, there are limits and drawbacks:
  • After calming down, all the fatigue that the adrenaline took away (and then some), will sweep over your character, making them more tired than they were before.

  • Only so much fatigue can be countered by adrenaline. A ridiculously tired character will still keep their Tired moodle, even if at the max panic level.

  • Sleep is still a necessity. Adrenaline does not change how tired your character actually is, it only disguises it up to a point.

  • If you go into a long, grueling fight, you might not realize you are tired until its over and calm down.

Works in:
  • Singleplayer
  • Multiplayer
  • Local Co-op

FAQ
Q: What happens if I maintain panic, will I never have to sleep again?
A: No, you will still get tired and need to sleep.

Hello! I'm the owner of Project Eden roleplay community and I was wondering if I could put your mod in a modpack with credit of course :)

the mod is very good but i feel like when panic goes away it adds more tiredness, that's quite bad since you can get panicked many times in a day and get tired super fast even if you were not tired before the panic

Wihile having this mod turned on, I had a character that was desensitized, but got quickly fatigued for seemingly no reason. Don't know what's causing it, so I wished to check in to see if this mod might have a bug attached to it that affects player fatigue levels even when not panicked.

Finally, just imagine you are fighting for your life trying to not get eaten in a horrible and painful death but you still want so sleep so your character says: ''whatever, I dont care about the 1000 zombies right behind me, I just want some sleep uwu''. That unreal problem its finally over
