Landmarks of Legend

Description
OVERVIEW
Landmarks of Legend adds a variety of landmarks to locations all over the Warhammer world, with some landmarks granting access to special units and Regiments of Renown, while others grant new items or unique effects. Additionally, some landmarks can even grant Legendary Lords or Heroes if you have the companion mod Heroes of Legends enabled!

Currently, there are landmarks for the following factions:

- Tzeentch
- Ogre Kingdoms
- Legion of Chaos
- The Empire
- Vampire Counts
- Skaven
- Bretonnia

- Beastmen
- Norsca
- Warriors of Chaos

<<NOTICE>>
- Place Mixu's Unlocker above this mod (if you are using it)

- This mod will work fine without the Unlocker but you will lose the ability to build a large number of landmarks. This is because the Unlocker edits the startpos files and allows us to place buildings wherever we want. Editing these files would break compatability with most other mods.

- Heroes of Legend is a companion mod that implements new playable factions, Legendary Lords & Heroes recruited from landmarks. Both are intended to be used in conjunction with eachother.

- Many landmarks from the WH2 mod "Landmarks of the Old World" have been integrated into this one.

- If you have MCT enabled, then you can disable specific or all custom units added in this mod if you want to. This does NOT mean MCT is required to run this mod.

- The spreadsheet has a column called "Status" when you scroll right, which will tell you if a landmark is currently in-game (listed as "Implemented") or if it isn't yet (listed as "Planned").

- If you encounter a crash, please check if the crash occurs when it's just this mod enabled (and the Unlocker if you use it).

- If a crash occurs or content from new updates are not working, unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mod should almost always fix it (especially right after a new update).

- If you encounter any bugs, typos, etc, please post them in the Bug Report discussion.

- This mod works with The Old World map mod by ChaosRobie.

F.A.Q
Do you need to start a new game for these changes to appear?
- No, but some scripted effects (like granting ancillary items or mercenaries) will not work.

Is this compatible with Immortal Landmarks and Landmarks of Eternity?
- Yes.

SFO?
- If you intend to play this mod with SFO then use the SFO submod listed below.

Will the AI build these landmarks/Will the AI recruit these units?
- Yes to both but AI recruitment of units can also be disabled if you have MCT enabled.


FUTURE PLANS
- Rework/rebalance older landmarks, icons and units [Current Focus]

- Continue adding landmarks (leave any suggestions on the appropriate discussion page).

Good Day! Thanks for your prompt response and sorry for the lag in getting back (Toronto). The first is called the 'Monolitth of Katam (level 3)', the other one is the 'Shrine of Ormr (level 4)' which is from Trajann's Legendary Dragon mod. I also noticed that 'Surtha's Ek's Workshop (level3) in Varg camp is also not availible to build. Not sure if any of these are related to your mod but your folow up/interest is much appreciated! Cheers.

Can you give me specific landmark names? Missing Norscan landmarks from this mod should be fixed with the last update I did.

Can I suggest a version that changes units for some meaningful campaign buffs? Because it is weird if I just want landmarks and disable units but some landmarks are basically there to provide these units. Such landmarks should also be balanced around disabled units option.

Hello, Thank you for providing this essential Mod. For some reason I can't bulid any landmarks (2) in The Monolith of Katam. I'm playing as Wintertooth, using Trajann Dragon's, Immortal Landmarks, Landmarks of Eternity and Landmarks of Legend. All landmarks in other provinces are active and aviliable as well as the one in Serpent Jetty. Not sure if it has anything to do specifically with this Mod but have to start someplace. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or feedback. Cheers.

Hi,

I have a question regarding the "Frozen Landing Trading Post" and the landmark in "Kraka Drang" .
I can see the Landmark icon next to these settlement names on the campaign map. When I hover over the icon, it shows the landmark description properly. However, when I actually select the settlement to build it, the landmark does not appear in the construction building chain.

Is there a hidden requirement I'm missing, or is the building slot bugged?

Most units do have a unit cap. There are some without but those are usually basic tier 1-2 units.

The update didn't properly install for you. If unsub and resub doesn't work, try manually deleting the packfile of the mod in your workshop folder which will force Steam to redownload.

are the units capped like some elite units od some factions. some units look very cool buti dont know if i could enjoy a doomstack of modded tier 5 units

Have un-subbed and re-subbed. Same error.
