Description


Always found it strange that different "stuff" has different mass but things made with it always has the same mass.
So this mod just modifies the mass of items depending on what stuff they are made of.
No longer is a Uranium plate armor as easy to carry as one made of Bamboo and pawns with plasteel equipment can carry more on their caravan adventures.

The mod looks at the stuffcategories that an item can be made of and uses the stuff with the highest commonality value as a basevalue.
It then calculates the relative mass based on the stuff the item is made of.
To modify these values, try my companion mod: Change Stuff Properties
Affects all items that can be made from different "stuff", mostly apparel but some weapons and buildings as well.

I also added an option to let weight affect any negative movement speed factors on items. So for example a uranium plate armor has a much higher movement speed penalty than an armor made of plasteel. It will not change positive values, since these will probably only be used on items like power-armor that would not be affected by its weight.

@Alexander Zagirov it does show if you examine an item that's already been made, it just doesn't show if you're using the change material view.

Can confirm I've got the same thing though, despite the items definitely having different speed penalties once made.

Updated CE and tested, got normal cloth/devilstrand flak pants, no more bugged steel flak pants

I use combat extended and using this mod gives me "steel flak pants" with 48kg.

Same as with mass changes reported by neontech1 movement speed penalty also static and doesn't change when viewing item information.

On bills when using view information (i) -> change material the mass changes this mod makes aren't shown, is it possible to have them reflected there?

@robopitek Yes, I saw your mod when I had made this but since your mod uses patches I thought there were room for a generic one that works on any modded stuff.
