The bug thing is uncanny.
I didn't know about that .dds format until now.

Apparently paint .NET* allows to save into .dds format and it comes with a large variety of graphic parameters (DirectX, RGB, linear, etc.) as you mentionned and others.

I'll try and see what works for Avorion.

Unfortunately the purple texture is the result of a bug when reading your file. I never managed to make those blocks textures. I'm not sure what the issue is but I spent hours trying various formats with DDS Nvidia extensions without success.
Also beware that with paint alone some things won't be possible to do.
In DDS they use a fourth channel to handle transparency for example. It's not a PNG.
I don't remember the details unfortunately

Damn, combining this with the recommended mods (as well as the other part of the updated Replicant Dreams) creates a really nice looking game.

This is an awesome texture pack. It feels a lot more realistic. like avorion building with other packs the texture is crazy red but this one still looks like a type of metal with a red tint. Thank you.

Anyone else have an issue with huge parts of the map basically being invisible with this mod? Buttons, icons and colors on the map etc.
