This mod introduces new city defences to make it far harder to topple your opponents. The goal is the make it not only difficult but dangerous to go for the kill; giving the AI tools to turn things around when their opponents draws near. It can also give the player a chance to turtle and build a bastion against the ever increasing tides of the enemy.

Description:
HQ's have double the weapons.

City Radius research gives all fortifications a trait of +50% HP per rank.

Each faction HQ can deploy 3 fortification units 20 turns after it is built. Fortification units can be spawned every 20 turns (on Normal speed) and have a shared cool-down. They cost nothing to produce or maintain. They must be placed in a specific zone from the HQ and cannot be placed near their doubles.

Fortifications:

- Barracks: this fortification is the first one available for a city. I can be placed within 2-2 hex of the HQ and has moderate health. This fortification can spawn 5 to 6 units depending on faction when enemies are within 5 hex of the barracks. All barracks can spawn their faction's starting unit and additional units are unlocked as they are researched. The units cost half their resource cost in influence to spawn. This spawn is on a timer equal to the unit's construction costs divided by six.

The barracks also grants a Supply Lines trait to all units within 4 hex, which reduces their maintenance cost by 50% if enemy units are near the city.

- Shield Generator: this fortification unlocked after deploying a Barracks. It can be placed within 2-3 hex from the HQ and has low health. The shield generator gives all allied units a minimum 33% ranged damage reduction within 3 hex. Tyranids do no have access to the Shield Generator.

- Battlements: this fortification is unlocked after deploying a Barracks. It can be placed within 2-3 hex of the HQ and has high health. The battlements have weapons equivalent to HQs and give a +1 range and sight to Fortifications within 4 hex as well +2 accuracy to all allied units (excluding themselves).

does this have to be within city limits? or is it only against faction ai and not neutral forces?

I can't seem to find the sisters of battle compatibility patch for this mod, I don't think its on the workshop.

Hi folks. Some other modders have been kind enough to add Sisters and Drukhari.

Please support them and their work and give their mods a thumbs up/gift.

I'm currently working on new 3D assets for this game. Cheers.

I would love to see an update to this mod, I use it every game and since Dark Eldar was released I haven't been able to use it!!
