Description

Railway 2 is a brand new network package which is packed with numerous new features, while maintaining the existing features of original Railway 1 project. It also brings new types of networks such as quads and mainlines. Check Railway 2 Guide in the collection, linked above.

Hudson River Tunnel
The North River Tunnels are a pair of rail tunnels that carry Amtrak and New Jersey Transit passenger lines under the Hudson River between Weehawken, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania Station in Manhattan, New York City, New York. Built between 1904 and 1908 by the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) to allow its trains to reach Manhattan, they opened for service in late 1910.

The tunnels allow a maximum of 24 crossings per hour each way and operate near capacity during peak hours. The tunnels were damaged by flooding in 2012, causing frequent delays in train operations. In May 2014, Amtrak stated that within 20 years one or both of the tunnels would have to be shut down. In May 2021, the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) approved two new tunnels, although specific funding sources for the complete project were not identified.

  • Ground Prefab: Wide 'Island' class network that is used to have proper transition between tunnel portal and other networks.
  • Slope Prefab: Contains the tunnel portals.
  • Tunnel Prefab: Tunnel network.
  • Part of Railway 2: USA expansion, that features accurate rail profile, 1:1 scaled wire height and many more features.
  • Tunnel illumination: Uses light props that came with Industries DLC.
  • Dirty variant will be published later.

Comes as electrified networks. Use Network Skins to disable wires on-dragging, or Catenary Replacer to cancel wires map-wide. Part of RAILWAY project, thus requires Railway Replacer to customize track props.

Highly recommend to check the complete guide for full features and details.

The hell why so many people playing this game without Industries.

Anyways not only did this network crash my game it also shot up my school.

a prop alone doesnt crash a game. how did you determine it was that specific prop ?

R69 Tunnel Darkener, which is required by this, crashes my game. Just thought I'd let you know.

I just realized that the network requires Industries. Can't believe it.

i'll check it myself with lkight issue

I've just tried that but it still breaks, no matter if it's upgraded or dragged.

could be related to the fact that NS2 requires a 'redragging' of the network to be wired or wireless. So I would pick the wireless option FIRST, then drag the network, instead updating the road.

Using Network Skins 2 to disable the wires breaks the slope part of the tunnel for me.
I've also tried using Cantenary Replacer but it doesn't seem to do anything at all.

No offence intended to you for not adding Industries to the "required DLC" section or anything. I completely understand why you'd think missing a DLC prop would be the same as missing a Workshop prop.
Unfortunately, C:S probably just sees a prop from Industries in the code for the network and axes the whole thing, instead of just not loading the prop.
Could be for quality assurance, making it harder for DLC features to leak to people who don't have it, they couldn't be bothered to have it work like the Workshop, or any number of reasons.

But regardless of the reason, I (and many other people, I'm sure) are extremely grateful to you, not only making the network in the first place, but for going the extra distance to fix such a minor issue months after its release (something which wouldn't even be an issue to anyone who has the DLC in the first place).
Keep up the great work!

That might explain the problem. I did mention the requirement of Industries DLC, but I assumed not having the DLC might simply make the network lightness, not actually block it from use. I downloaded a light prop pack from workshop see if i can replace lights with it, that way you wont need the DLC post-update.

I'll post here when i update the network
