Description
Outer Independent Planets Consolidation (OIPC) are a NPC faction that appears in space and on planets.
They are friendly but due to their past history of being attacked by pirates they are very quick to turn hostile if attacked.
Disabling the purple remote control block on the grid (typically on/near the ship bridge) will disable the grinder zapper technology , all doors on large grid ships/stations can be opened by the player so boarding actions are still possible.
Ships that actively seek out enemies have threat score minimums.

The OIPC-Asgard-Large-Defense-Station is ~110k PCU and ~24,000 blocks so it may cause performance issues especially on servers. It can be blacklisted from spawning using /MES.Settings.General.NpcSpawnGroupBlacklist.Add.OIPC-Asgard-Large-Defense-Station chat command (same command with "Remove" instead of "Add" will make the spawngroup eligible again)

Don't republish this mod (unlisted for a server/personal use with a link back to the orginal is fine) as I don't want the hassle of issuing a DMCA but I will if necessary.

@HellWatcher Are you using this mod and the NPC Expanded Universe Encounters mod as well? They both define the OIPC faction so cause a crash/failure on load. (NPC Expanded Universe Encounters is basically the legacy version of the factions, they all have their updated individual mods)

I am having a simillar Issue as Space Ace (and i don't know whether this is by design)
I am playing on Generated world via the Star System Generator, and while OIPC Cargo Hauler flies form one point to another and then despawns, the OIPC Shuttle spawns and after initial movment, comes to a halt and slowly descends( I don't know whether this is caused by not having enough thrust to keep altitude or Is this intentional behaviour because it's trying to land and create some kind of are of denail?) It bugs me because after some time, i have a bunch of Shuttles scatterd around planet, that literally do nothing outside of getting buthurt when i get below their 3km safe space.

All of my OIPC ships tend to crash after a little while. Is anyone else getting this behavior?

for having shields on them you would need to tell mes that you want it to put shields on grids and have defense shields ( https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1365616918 ) in use

The Asgard is spawning without Shields. Is this intended?

I would like it to have a few shields :)

I allied myself with two custom factions, THIE and OIPC in this case. They, however, were not allies with each other. The Unstoppable Gunboat spawns and does not move. My assumption is that it's intent is to attack hostile players;I am the only player in the game and I am not hostile, so it cannot move. A THIE fightercraft made its way to the OIPC gunboat and started engaging, and all was well and good. From what I've seen, when vessels with no waypoint are slated to despawn, they seem to turn before doing so. The OIPC gunboat, which was immobile during the fight, turned and attempted to despawn, which is what I believe caused my game to crash.

I'm stating this here because I think it's a problem with the vessel itself or a coding error involved with it, though if not, I can paraphrase my report to MES instead and see if they have any information.
