Prolog

Hello all togther !

The "Lefties" are here ! :P

Well ... I finally did find some time to get these 4 left - version - entrances ws - ready, as promised. ;)
Some of you asked about these versions ... hence maybe there's a need for them.

I hope I´ll find a lot more time, because there is so much waiting to finally arrive the WS.
Fingers crossed.... ;)


First Upload / Right Versions



Some stats


Dependencies

  • pathway (needed for this to work!!)
  • station lights (very light)
  • custom effects loader - mod (otherwise the lights wont light up)

Usage

These buidlings can be placed anywhere, BUT they´ll need a road connection.
After that connect the attached pedestrian path to your network. Thats it.

You can shorten the ped path, which comes with the building, via move it.
Hold the alt key while grabing the node. But be cautious with that !

Issues / Walkarrounds

If you encounter a "netinfo missing - error" then you forgot
to subscribe to the pathways. As mentioned before, the buildings wont load then.

You might need an Anrarchy Mod due to the "distance to short" warning.
With such a mod enabled, placement shouldn t be a problem.


  • Due to the somewhat finicky ped connections in this game, I suggest to move
    the bulildings with caution !
  • I also suggest to place them a bit away from the street. Otherwise the cims
    might "jump" out of the building.
  • ... and try to avoid to place them next to a corner. This also might
    cause your cims to move in weird ways.

I cant change anything about some "weird" walking behaviors of your cims... the game
works that way. You can avoid that by folloing my tips. ;)

Every building uses the same textures as well as lod materials.
All these will be shared via LSM and that saves you some RAM.

The main textures of these buldings are already used in other buildings.
For example the condo #01 building, metro/tram/hub. the right versions of
theses entrances etc.

The needed RAM space for all 4 buildings will be at arround 5 MB.

Hi. You can't connect these buildings to anything directly ... they only provide a pathway - connection to the surface.

@eons, if you use some clipping networks/assets you can deal with this.

@clus, i have some question: how can I connect this pathways with MOM subways stations? It's just build these paths "close enough" to stations or do I have to build something else? In my case sims are jus ignoring pathways and exiting by the regular station entrance...

@CEO nope you can't... you need pathways which connect to the metro platforms ... these her3 are just entrances, which could be connected to those pathways.
@eons Luna ... nothing to change about that... certain terrain clipping issues are part of the game and can't be chnaged. Can you provide a pic in order for me to see, what exactly is going on at your end.

I get a problem with the terrain clipping through whenever I try to use this, why is that? Is there a way to fix this besides trying to move it to somewhere where the terrain doesn’t clip through?

So, I don't really get it. Can I just use this with MOM and actually place entrances that lead to the station itself via underground pathways?

Yup.... The only remaining option would be the use of "tiny segments (mod)" together with fine road anarchy. If that also doesent work then there is no other solution to "fix" it. :/
