Description
Updated for most recent Conan Exiles update! Let me know if it, like, y'know, works.

Better Pets is a simple mod that improves pet HP and Armor to bring them in line with humanoid thralls.

All base game and Siptah animal pets (including Skeletal summons) will start off with drastically more health and armor, and gain more as they level. This mod unfortunately cannot affect DLC or modded pets. This mod works retroactively on existing pets; you will not need to tame new ones.

Caveat: I'm very new to modding, and I'm also awful at math. The numbers won't be spectacularly consistent across species, or exactly proportional to the old species' HP numbers--but they'll be higher across the board. The lowest-HP non-elite pets will still have several thousand HP at level 20. The absolute highest will have 15k or more. The goal is to make all animals viable choices for PvE (PvP play is unlikely to be balanced).

Hi Brother, can you make a stand-alone version? This version of the value is too high, even the beginning of the big turtle has more than 10,000 health and super high armor, please make a single version, modify the data to half or less, this will make the game more interesting.:steamthumbsup:

The mod's updated when it needs to be! Atm it should be working fine regardless, but let me know if there's issues. The only thing it doesn't change pet-wise atm is golems.

Does this mod effect non tamed animals we are having a problem on our private server where the Wild animals are insanely powerful trying to nail down the mod thats doing it.

@paganlaw630, sadly Funcom blocks that. Basically no DLC pets are accessible in the devkit :( I know, I hate it too.

Thanks for the work you did with the pets, I do have a question. Will you at some point be able to add the DLC skinned pets or is this something that just will not come to pass? Thanks!

Okay, thanks! If a few work then technically they should all work, given the way the database merge functions. That said, if any *new* pets were added I'd need to go back and add them manually so let me know. I think I'm still behind on the golems.
