Stuffable Armor and Clothes

Description
NEW BETA VERSION v2 AVAILABLE now including guns HERE: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2894532448&tscn=1669607799

Overview
-Simple patch library to be able to make all vanilla armors "stuffable" with different materials as well as other clothing that has the property to be "stuffable". Also includes a collection of patches for compatibility.

-Any materials with the 'Metallic, Woody, Stony' tag are supported and scales based off the material/armor base stats. Does not remove previous types of ingredients so clothing will still be able to made out of cloth/leathers but now can be made with metal, stone or wood as well.

-All Royalty and Ideology armors/clothes are supported.

-All stuffable clothing has adjustable material bonus %, this is set set in the settings. If you see 0% in the Effect Multiplier on the clothing, check the settings to make sure it is set to the recommended 15, it will go back to 0 if the config file is removed at any point.

-WIP, new patches and changes as suggestions are made or compatibility patches can easily be made by taking a look at what should be modified in the original item's costList and then adding a stuffCostCount value to reflect the new overall cost.

-Modders, if you would like to add to this library or new modders looking to see how it's done, the master branch is what gets updated here on steam so here is the git repo https://github.com/crazedmonkey231/stuffable-armor-and-clothing

Info
*Load order does not matter if only changing vanilla base apparel.
*For best results load after all other armor/clothing mods or use Rimpy autosort seems to work best.

*Should be save game compatible, only adds changes to recipes and armor value scaling based on stuffed materials.

*Not recommended to be removed mid save.

*Currently does not raise the cap on sharp/blunt ratings, 200% is the highest it will currently go.

*Added Stone and Wood stuffing for more flavor if you like Rockmen or Dryad races, although they aren't very good.

*This modifies underlying apparel so quests, traders and looted clothing/armor will be generated from the different materials.

*If you see "0 ingredients" in the recipe list that just means the armor is not stuffable and will need a patch to make them stuffable, the recipes will still work fine but there won't be any stuffable benefits and use base stats as normal.---If you still see "0 ingredients" in the recipe list and there is a patch listed it just means the mod order is wrong.--And if it still doesn't work drop a comment, reading so much xml for a long time does make my eyes tired and I could miss something.

Compatibility
*If other mods modify the underlying base apparel or modify recipe list for apparel there could be a problem.

*Clothing from other mods usually use a leather/cloth so they will all be expanded upon with this, additional patches are likely needed for flak/power armor variants.

Known Incompatible:
- CE
- Flak Fabrics (Not 100% incompatible but you may get weird recipes depending on load order)
- Marine Armor Materials (same as Flak Fabrics)
- Spartan Foundry Warcraft (This already includes an update to make them craftable)

Compatible But Has A Slight Issue:
- SNS AOTC: The True Pinnacle of Creation(Helmets that require only work to make will always default to steel)
- Anty The War Ant Race (Uses custom clothing that does not extend base game so it is not fully supported)

Known Materials Compatibility:
- RimForge
- TMaterials - Metals
- Gemstones (Requires Stone Brick type to be enabled in settings to use Gems)
- VGP Vegetable Garden (Requires Wood type to be enabled in settings to use Bamboo)
- More Archotech Garbage Reupload (Archotech Mass can now be used for flak/power armor)
- Smokeleaf Industry Reborn
- Runescape Metals
- [TP]Blood (Bloodcrete is supported by default, Bloodstone requires stone type to be enabled in settings)
-Archotech Expanded
-Fantasy Metals
-Expanded Materials - Metals

- Science Never Stops: Ambition of the Cosmic
- Orassans

Known Supported Without Patches:
- Craftable Stuffable Eltex
- Prestige Specialist Armours
- Rim Of Madness - Bones (can be used if enable stone and wood in settings)

*Any mod that uses the in-game "costStuffCount" will be supported by default, or in general if it required ingredients before it will be expanded upon with this.

Recommended to use with:
- Armor & UI Uncapper
- Mend & Recycle

Funny Mod Interactions:
- Eat Hat

Known Issues:
- None Currently

Lastly
- If you want only armors and not all clothing I recommend Flak Fabrics and Marine Armor Materials.
- Rate and drop a note in the comments for suggestions/issues.

@Crazedmonkey231 It would be great if you were still working on the successor mod, since it hasn't gotten an update since December 2022. If you can't or won't finish it, please tell us. Don't pull a George RR Martin on us.

I got to say having metal pants/shirts (uranium pants man) is funny.....but very annoying to just deal with in general wihout a mod to sort in zones by type (I do have one).

Overall its makes random appareal spawn, generally more awful. I love the idea for Armors just not clothing. Is there a stuffable for just Armors?
TeleportBehindYou 19 Feb, 2023 @ 12:20pm
be warned, this mod will make the majority of clothing items spawned as stuffed with steel. If you use a mod that makes material weight matters, it will make your starting pawns be over encumbered when starting the game. Enemies will spawn with the majority of their armors and clothes stuffed with steel also.

Hello everybody! I have a successor to this mod! It's currently under work but it doesn't rely on xml and uses Harmony. It is completely code based if you would like to give it a try. Includes settings for prosthetics/implants, guns and clothing/armor with more fine tune control over settings :) https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2894532448

Something that used to require cloth can now be made of metal, stone, or wood... but not leather. Never leather. That would just be silly.

i think metal t-shirt and pants is a little stupid furthermore we don't have a lot of metal in the game so is it possible that you make a version of this mod but only for armor ? pls
solyleroux72 8 Nov, 2022 @ 3:54pm
someone know if there is a mod like that but for weapons?
