GBDanny96 Is an Artist.

The guy is gifted when it comes to Ships on Stormworks and has created some of the best stuff available on the workshop. My favorite creation is of course the M.V. Manorbier.

However, its not that great for role-playing.. So i went ahead and solved that problem.

This is M.V. Manorbier (Refit)

Stylized as a scaled down version of the ship Glencoe (pictured) which was similar enough to the original design to convert. I have really tried hard to make this stand apart from the original but im not going to re-name the ship as i am trying to be crystal clear that this is a modification of an existing ship and Danny deserves the credit for the design and core functionality.

The lifeboats are from the ship "Old Salty" by SgtStuka. its a great tanker and the lifeboats, i felt, were the appropriate design and size for the ship with the added bonus that they seat 7 men each. which puts the ship in regulation of all hands having space in a lifeboat. (i added rope anchors to secure the boats to the deck (helpful in rough seas) and fixed the controls as they were backwards) also did some cosmetic work. and added new davits to accomadate them

The ship has undergone a major overhaul

Features:
1: Damage control Systems
including 3 Compartment Bilge pumps(Cargo A / Cargo B/ Engine Room), 3 Fire Hoses, General & Fire Alarms,
Emergency Lights, Damage control locker, Sickbay, Larger Lifeboats (imported and tweaked form Old Salty
SgtStuka) Forward & Aft Emergency Battery System for Lights and Pumps. Manuel Controls in the Engine Room.
2MC Engine room to bridge communication system.

2: Systems upgrades & additions
Duel Cranes forward and aft, Rope Anchors for securing cargo, Aft cargo Hold wenches for arranging Cargo. Rope
Lockers, New Map system with Active location tracking and zoom (by Kasekuchen) Weather Station (by Wolv)
Hose anchor fill stations for forward and aft Diesel Tanks. Working Freshwater Showers with Fresh water fill station
at the bow. Deck Drains, Working Dock lines with winches to tighten the lines to the dock bollards. Extended
range with more fuel in main tank

3. Crew Spaces:
Expanded bridge with redesigned equipment. Expanded Galley And Crew's Mess with Walk-in Freezer and bread
oven (Support for M NJ Hunger Mechanics) Added Engineers Office/Stateroom, Added Cooks Stateroom, Added
Officer Stateroom, Expanded Crew Berthing (Ships complement is now 14 more on that later) Re-designed layout of
engine room access and boat deck.

4. New Sink Feature
Overhauled the sink feature; The ship will now split in 2 from either side being flooded via 2 thresholds
FWD: Cargo hold half full, cargo bilge full.
AFT: Cargo hold half full, cargo bilge full.

Cargo Bilges are sealed and are not accessible. So that means you need to have a hull breach or...
you can use the Scuttling Valves.

Aft scuttling valves are located In the Engine room Bilge next to the Work Bench Port side
Fwd scuttling valves are located in the forward bilge. access through the 3rd officers stateroom on starboard side.

It will take some time. (The top Cable will disconnect don't worry)

if you manage to keep the stern afloat you can relive "Finest Hour" by switching to Local control in the engine room and drive Half the ship home. Have a buddy guide you lol

5. Engine room Cutout

If the Engine room floods 35% the main engines will cut out and the main Power Distribution will go Down.
Engage the emergency battery power located in the DC locker for aft systems, or the FWD cargo hold for the forward systems. this will power DC lighting as well as the emergency transponder, Fire hoses, Bilge pumps, (and Scuttling pumps/valves) pump the water down in the engine room and you can restore power.

6. Entertainment:

You can spend time in the crews mess playing 3 different video games thanks to (Clemental) and his SW game Console. no there isn't a big bulky chair in the middle of the crews mess. under the TV in the cupboard is a controller.
Switch to channel 8 and play pong, snake or comet buster. (maybe tetris later) the controller will recharge when you put it back.

if you would rather have passive entertainment, the captains cabin has a TV with Sawyer News!. when its time to get back to business change the channel and take a look at NJ digital Modular Vehicle checklist for Daily Routines a crew roster and Collateral duties to assign.

Speaking of Crew. the ship was laid out with Minimum manning requirements in mind. The ship has 14 crew

Here is the breakdown

3 - 8 hour watches consisting of 4 guys per watch

Deck officer, Helm, Engineer, and Roving watch

Captain and Cook have daytime watches and are on Call

Deck Department: (8 men)
Officer:
Captain
Chief Officer / First officer
2nd Officer

Crew:
Boatswain / Deck Boss
2 Able seaman
2 Ordinary Seaman (share a rack)

Engineering (5 Men)

Officer:
Chief Engineer

Crew:
2 Motorman
2 Wipers (share a rack)

Crew:
Stewards Department (1 Man)
Chief Cook

Sharing a rack AKA Hot-racking means two people share a bed. this is common among junior crew

Collateral duties are specializations
They can range from assisting the cook to being the ships being in charge of equipment or procedures.
they range between officers and crew and i have a list of them on the Captains terminal.

After 6 years in the navy and having lived on boats before this kind of stuff is my thing. attention to detail is my vice and dammit if i haven't wasted a ton of time on this for almost no reason. I realize i didn't build this boat from the ground up and yes this is just a refit but hopefully you will enjoy it.

Please! if you notice something wrong tell me so i can fix it.

There is a ton i have left out of this so enjoy discovering what you can.

I used a ton of workshop items in this especially micro controllers. i take no credit for any of them.

I am doing my best to site the authors but this has been a weeks long project so i probably have left some of them out.
as i remember ill update this to give credit.

Thank you guys for the kind reviews.

As for ballast. The sink features are reversible so weight can be added using them.
simply turn on the forward and aft scuttling valves and take on as much water as you like.

as for the dock winch. if you use the Dock bollard mod you can actually tie the ship to the dock and tighten the lines with the button near the cleats.

again thank you for the kind reviews. this took a lot of effort

Hey quick question, is there a possibility that you might add some ballast in the form of ballast tanks or just weighted blocks. Cause I found that in 100% wind when heading into the waves the ship will come completely out of the water if you don't adjust the throttle as to prevent jumping the wave. And in a sense it increases realism, cause no one in their right mind would full throttle when they crest a wave. Other than that its probably the best workshop creation for stormworks.

Awesome Ship, a bit of a Challenge to load it with the Onboard Cranes, but still got about 50 FPS in Dock/Harbour without anything else spawned.

Drives well, handles Storms quite well and doesnt sink except if you cause alot of Damage to the Ship without repairing it.

Has decent Cargo Space too, should be enough for like 4 cars in each cargobay or any other cargo in same size, has more then enough ropes and anchors to secure Cargo and to tie the Ship to the Dock (can use Winch to get closer to Dock).

Really one of the best Cargoships i have seen so far in Stormworks!
