Ruler Reactions for the Chosen

Description
The Chosen are granted Ruler Reactions instead of their normal turn. Engaging them directly is more dangerous.

This mod doesn't promise perfect balance on its own. I use it with the following Ruler behavior mods so that X2 'bosses' all follow the same rules of engagement: A Better Chosen, Aggressive Chosen, Moddable Ruler Turns (with this ini preset[pastebin.com]), Debuff Ruler Reaction Chance, Ruler Actions Revised, and Ruler Nerf Nerf.

By default, this mod removes Chosen immunities to Disorient and Stun, to give XCOM more options against them. For balance, it also adds a condition check to the Chosen's Summon Follower skills that measures the total XCOM AP remaining, so they aren't dropping in summons for easy flanks right before the Alien Turn. These changes can be disabled or reconfigured via ini edits. You can read more about them here.

This mod requires the Alien Hunters DLC.

I really love this mod. It actually makes missions with the chosen _terrifying_.

I don't believe so. I could add this functionality but I won't have time for the forseeable future, unfortunately.

Is there any way to remove ruler reactions for one of the Chosen specifically?
I tried removing the Ruler reaction ability for the Assassin and she kinda bugged out a bit. Wondering if that can be fixed by just commenting out that bit about Bending reed in the config.

The Hunter can miss, deals way less damage, has to choose between moving and shooting, and suffers pretty heavily from disorientation.
Fucking "Honour" weeb gets to zip around dealing fucktons of guarantied damage through armour then hide away to where I can't even hit her.

This mode makes no such changes

Does this mod change the spawn order of the rulers. I started a new campaign and the first Ruler I encountered was the Berserker Queen. The reason I'm asking is because when I first encountered the Assassin, the Ruler DLC dialog played making me assume the game was treating the Chosen encounter like my first Ruler encounter.

This is a fantastic mod, even better then the first one I used, for that one caused a weird glitch which made it that even after the Chosen had died or left, the ruler reaction would keep triggering after every action.

Check this mod's ini files, I believe you can edit the cooldown.

This is a good mod, but it is impossible against the warlock with spiritual zombies every 4th action i take.

Those mods didn't have the features or compatibilities I wanted. So I made this one.

Of the two you posted, the only one that actually implements Ruler Reactions does in fact require the Alien Hunters DLC.

"2 formats which allows customization." This version has more features and options -- immunity changes, XCOM team AP checks for abilities, implementation of ruler-style status effect ticking on Chosen units. No, there are no options for "how often they react and to what actions" in those mods. For that you'd need Moddable Ruler Turns or Ruler Actions Revised .

Going forward, you can safely assume that modders have already checked the workshop before taking the time to make something.

This mod already was already made in 2 formats which also allows customization as to how often they react and to which actions. On top of that they don't require the alien DLC.

That being said these mods are pretty much a must have when facing the chosen, otherwise they act like target practice.
