1. You need to go to the root folder of the game: ...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Endless Space 2\Public;
2. Find the file Registry.xml and open it with notepad;
3. Open the search bar (ctrl+f) and write "assim" in it;
4. In the line, replace "2 + $(Assimilated Populations Count) * 1" with "1 + $(Assimilated Populations Count) * 0" - then the cost of assimilation will be 1 piece, but you can experiment, maybe something more interesting will turn out (assimilation from 0 population? :D )
1. Нужно зайти в корневую папку игры: ...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Endless Space 2\Public;
2. Найти файл Registry.xml и открыть его с помощью "блокнота";
3. Открыть строку поиска (ctrl+f) и написать в ней "assim";
Even if it were only 2, 4, 6, etc. the micromanagement to get exactly the right number of a pop so you can use it up is annoying, and grows more so as planets fill up. Even with my mod I get burnt out playing Gene Stealers after one game, but at 1, 1, 1 it's just too OP.
This mod : 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...
Vanilla : 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12...
Sadly, the game assets are compressed so I can't trivially search the DLCs for a matching string; it will be a couple hours work, not a couple minutes. I can't promise to get to it in the near future.
The actual change is really tiny. I'll try to remember to check on this when I have some free time. Sadly, work is pushing hard on me right now so ti may be a while.
