Culture Conflation

Description
This mod allows you to conflate unintegrated cultures into an integrated culture within the same culture group. The existing cultural decision to "Promote Administrators in Subcultures" now triggers a hidden event that converts one pop of an unintegrated culture per territory. The event fires on a decade pulse (every year ending in 0 since the start date is 450), but each individual culture has a 20-year cooldown for the event.

This is a crude method of simulating cultural assimilation into non-primary cultures. I chose 20 years because that looks like a reasonable average for how long cultural assimilation takes without any modifiers. Sadly, this mod cannot account for modifiers to cultural assimilation speed.

Imperator Day update!

I made some changes to the mod. It should partially alleviate a problem where unintegrated pops are both assimilating to primary culture and conflating to an integrated culture in their culture group. I can't stop assimilation, but I can kick pops from primary to the integrated culture so that when the unintegrated one assimilates, the end result is the same as if assimilation didn't happen.

Zamensis, the modder behind Virtual Limes, also did some work reorganizing this mod's files and making some of the script more clear. It won't affect you as a player, but I appreciate the help. Thanks!

Hey, is it possible to tweak the event to also work with the primary culture, it's kinda cancerous converting the entirety of italy after having to integrate the samnites and etruscans.

@Malkavian Oh, sure. I didn't notice that they tweaked the cultural decisions with Invictus, but it should be easy to make a compatible version.

@Gullmaður That cultural decision already exists without my mod, so if you aren't seeing it, then you must not meet the conditions for it to be available. It needs to be an integrated culture that is not in your primary culture group, and you need to have it be the majority culture in at least one settlement.Those should be all that is required for the cultural decision to show up. There's more needed to be able to take the decision, like having at least 20 settlements yourself, having high enough stability, having enough pops in the cultural group, and having at least two other unintegrated cultures in the culture group.

Hi this mod looks really cool but I'm not seeing the "promote administrators in subcultures" decision even after 20 years in game. Does this mod not work or is it something on my end?

@lewa263 if the AI use it, she can snowball more efficiency.

it can be a way for better mid-late game

@Keagan You cannot earn achievements with this mod. You can still turn on the ironman mode, though. I should add that to the description.
