Description
*** Unfortunately I no longer have time to tweak or update any of my SE mods; in fact I'm on a complete SE break. As always, 100% of my work is totally free to share/change/republish, any other author whose content is inside my mods should be consulted separately. Hope the community is still enjoying the game and modders can benefit from my dodgy work! ***


Yet another shield mod!

This is an original code version, designed to be extremely simple but effective. Shields include gravity generator components and therefore are affected by gravity gens, much like mass blocks... best to put outside the ship's field, use for grav drives, etc. Or turn off when landing your shielded small grid on a carrier...

These guys are quite power-hungry when discharged, but the power consumption (and regeneration rate) decreases as they charge. I think you'll work out the color scheme and indicators.

Large and small variants for both large and small grids. Massive thanks to my collaborator Ash Like Snow for the brilliant work on the large model (suspiciously reminiscent of a ISD-72x,) the small model is lifted from my own EMP module mod.

speaking of your EMP mod is there any plans to try and restore that mod for a modern age?

I like this mod, but can someone make an updated version, there's an explosion every time a projectile hits a shield, but with the addition of lasers, high firerate weapons, or overall collisions it becomes game breaking. Since the author is on a complete SE break, can someone optimize this mod? Would love to see a remaster or revamp as this is one of the few shield mods that still work properly, and one of the only ones that works universally no matter what combat systems mod is used.

hey jon if do u know if this mod requires cilent scripts if so ik someone who might be able to help me with converting it to xbox comp i have hopes but that is info i need also if it can be swapped to server side scripts

Does anyone know of any shield mods on modules that still work and don't rely on Weapon Core with this one?

If I put the shields on a ship, it'll always be too heavy. Can you fix that?

Hi there 人族狙击手, absolutely do anything you want with the mod. I don't think Ash will mind you reusing his model. And behemoth that's interesting, didn't know that... wonder why?!??

For some reason, this doesnt play nice with safe zones in survival. As soon as the blueprint is placed, before its built up, it disables the safe zone entirely.
