Description
As promised, here is the updated Proper Combat Mod 2 - SFO Edition by Kam1250! Although I did the updating of some entries, this is Kam's concept and work. - DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO IMAGE (Feb '21 was last update and I don't feel like going in to change it yet ha)

Kam has updated his mods as well. One slight difference is that if AP damage was given as "0" in the original entry, I kept it at 0.

original description below:

Proper Combat mod for Warhammer 1 & 2 was originally made due to my dislike to pace of vanilla combat and my original mods had larger changes than this one.

Steel Faith is a great mod on it's own hence this submod does not change the balance. What this submod does is a change of pace in combat, which makes SFO battles last longer without feeling they get too easy/hard or too slow/fast in places. I made few small tweaks to AP damage on some low AP damage weapons as without it, blunt reduction to damage would only make high armour units stronger, which would screw with SFO balance.

This mod works around combat mechanics like unit speed, damage, fatigue etc. without changing base unit stats like melee attack or defence.

This is an early version but it made battles already more enjoyable for me.

Changes:
-Reduced unit running/charge speed
-Reduced melee weapon damage
-Reduced ranged damage slightly and increased reload time
-Reduced hit chance
-Few tweaks to morale like larger penalties for being flanked but lowered penalties for rescent casualties.
-Large changes to fatigue levels, now it take longer for units to get exhausted but also increases and reworks certain penalties for it.

-SFO
-save games

Incompatible with:
-Non SFO mods

Hey, is still mod still up to date enough to do anything? (using this with SFO ofc) but either ive gotten to used to Three kingdoms & Rome 2 again or it doesnt slow down battles at all anymore. Any chance thats because its out of date?

I was having issues with KMM so I uninstalled. I need to reinstall the game (I have the mod folder and can do some editing but will need to get the game back so it can update Workshop.)

Honestly, wasn't even aware there needed to be updates but I guess that does make sense. I'll make a pass but it won't necessarily be until closer to holidays when I get some more free time. Although it's possible it will be in the next 10 days.

So, does that means that non-SFO units with SFO submods benefit from this mod too?

@nflickner I play with a very short list of submods and this works perfectly. I mea, I could not engine SFO without this mod ! I don't know the mods you mentionned tho.

@romavictor Thanks so much for the info. Also, would you be willing to let me know if this mod works with other mods like OVN or Southern Realms (TEB)? I always like adding other factions, but would want to know if they are included in this rebalancing or not.

@nflickner There is almost none (save the AP damage difference I mention above.) The reason mine exists is because kam was upgrading his computer setup and couldn't update at the time of I think,the Rakarth patch. Now he can, so feel free to sub to his mod, he's the creator, these are his formulas. Given some more time, I will unlist or delete or make some additional changes to make it more original and useful.
