I think that what you should consider doing to future-proof future designs is have the connection between trailer and drone be a four block straight line. Starting from the drone it should be a conveyor junction/pipe, Hinge part, Hinge, straight pipe and pipe/conveyor junction. That way the hinge part, hinge and straight pipe can be replaced with small connectors without further rebuilding and hopefully without causing unsightly holes or bulges.
My remarks about power were primarily to point out that the engine (or two if the battery is replaced by a second one) can recharge a drone almost as fast as a battery and can recharge/jumpstart the trailer so long as the hydrogen holds out. Someone wanting to bombproof the design could add a programmable block with (IIRC) Isy's Ship Refueler which can juggle engines and batteries.
As for trying to do too much, I'd rather overkill than not have enough. With the current set up it could charge any of the Calpini drones, without needing an additional trailer for more batteries/hydrogen.
I will not be redesigning this trailer, although I may do a MK2 drone trailer, as I upload more drones. With the exception of the Calpini drone (where small size was the main goal), I want to keep it a general rule that ISL designs with a hydrogen engine or thrusters should have an H2O2 generator as well.
Additional trailers can always be connected, of course, but having both a large battery and a full hydrogen system makes the trailer self sufficient, so why design to need 2-3 trailers, when one will do the job just fine?
I do think that the trailer does try to do too much though since it has both a large battery and an engine, alongside a H2O2 generator. Power storage is not 100% efficient in SE so it would actually make sense to use the engine if hydrogen is available, with the battery only being used where there is no hydrogen. For rocket drones hydrogen is of course required.
I would suggest redesigning this into two designs, one with an engine or two and one with large batteries but in both cases without the H2O2 generator. Trailers with hydrogen tanks and H2O2 generators or with extra batteries or reactors could be connected or hitched on as needed.
Keep up the good work!
