v 0.3 (pre-release)

Changes:

+ brought back dirt and gravel roads, but with different textures. I came to the conclusion that this is still more appropriate.
+ replaced the texture of the airfield, maneuvering tracks made the same texture, because of the large size and features of reflections, it is very difficult to pick up something. The stripes on the edges of the main runway are now yellowish.
+ sewer grates appeared on the paved road
+ (only for version v0.2) slightly changed the texture of the concrete road, so that it would not "ripple".

Current bugs:

- it didn't work out to fix the intersections((( As I understood, the files responsible for their positioning are repacked and I won't be able to open them. We will wait for updates from the developers.

The installation is similar (it is put on both vanilla and old versions, it is not necessary to put the old one):
From the folder " remast_v0.3 " along the path "Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\ "your numbers"\2361977947", all files are thrown into the folder along the path "Steam\steamapps\common\SovietRepublic\media_soviet\paths", nothing more is needed
In the "Orig" folder there are vanilla files (current on the day of publication) in case you want to return everything back, or in the Steam, in the library, right-click on the game shortcut, "Properties" - "Local files" - "Check the integrity of the game files", this will return all files to their original state.

PS this time I didn't accidentally delete anything, so the update was in normal mode. But if the roads are already "in the liver", then I will release a maximum of one more, and I will wait until the developers fix the intersections.


PPS As always, have a nice game for everyone. I am waiting for comments regarding the changes.


v 0.2 (beta)

Changes:

+ the gravel road was converted into concrete slabs, the shoulder was replaced with small rubble
+ on an asphalt road, the texture has been changed to a similar one that is illuminated. The texture itself was slightly changed and became more contrasting. The roadside was slightly enlarged, its texture was changed along with the substrate, because the native one was somewhat crooked and looked torn.
+ the illuminated road has been changed accordingly in the same way as the normal one

Bug Fixes:

+ parking markings are now back to normal
+ marking on a one-way road is now more accurate
+ stops are now in the same texture as asphalt roads

v 0.1 (alfa)

Full road rebild, including unpaved and inter-road roads.
All the unique textures were made and adjusted independently from the photos.
Some of the native ones were redone.

As a result:

+ dirt roads have ceased to be such and turned into the remains of asphalt
with potholes
+ in gravel roads, the shoulder has changed to large cobblestones. I left the road itself
almost unchanged, because I got confused in a bunch of files and "New folders", and accidentally
replaced the finished modification file with *facepalm*. I'll probably redo it later
+ in the asphalt road, the same roadside has been changed, as well as the textures
of the road itself have been reworked
+ in the asphalt illuminated road, a paving stone was made,
textures were reworked, volume was added, and rare markings were applied for oncoming traffic
+ in a one-way road, I replaced the large arrows with triangles,
added markup from the game files, lies on top of the one in the textures,
plays the role of separators of passing streams
+ removed the yellow triangles on the intra-kladsky stretches, because of
which the whole fuss began, leaving only dots in the middle and stripes on the edges

How can I remove the mod since I don't know if I delete all the files the game will break?

While the idea of retexturing some roads is great, there's a variety of issues I see with this mod.

* First and foremost the DDS files are missing MipMaps. This will result in very grainy flickering textures when you zoom out in the game. Those should be included in the "reworked" textures. Usually every software able to save DDS files should be able to generate and save MipMaps when doing so.
* Some textures in the game come with an accompanying normal map, which is not updated and included in the mod. If the game really makes use of it (I don't know actually if it does) this would look pretty bad.
* Some texture files are included, but not changed from the original at all. Meaning:
* The mod ships some of the original texture files from the game only slightly changes their brightness. This technically is against the TOS.

riskeSk, It is removed very easily. Through file recovery in the game settings on steam. Brakes were not noticed at the time of the release of the latest version. It is very strange that you have encountered this. Perhaps something has changed in the halyards of the game, which will cause a conflict. I abandoned the project a long time ago, so I can't say for sure.

2 stars of 5 , beacuse the gravel road looks terrible and it will slow your computer. Also if you downloaded this you cant delete it from your game! :steamthumbsdown:

le_Dedfire Thanks. I am glad that people continue to use the mod. In fact, this is just a replacement of textures, they can only affect performance and visual bugs. At the moment, I have abandoned further promotion, since I will not start playing it again. Perhaps, when the time comes again, I will rework and release another version.
