Description
This might be bugged because I have been having some issues with the control surfaces

The Douglas DC-8 (sometimes McDonnell Douglas DC-8) is a narrow-body airliner built by the American Douglas Aircraft Company. After losing the May 1954 USAF tanker requirement to the Boeing KC-135, Douglas announced in July 1955 its derived jetliner project. In October 1955, Pan Am made the first order along with the competing Boeing 707, and many other airlines followed. The first DC-8 was rolled out in Long Beach Airport on 9 April 1958 and flew for the first time on 30 May. FAA certification was achieved in August 1959 and the DC-8 entered service with Delta Air Lines on September 18. -Wikipedia

How to Fly

Startup Procedure
-This plane requires a GPU to start the engines. Remember to turn it on before trying to start the plane!

1). You can get inside the plane using some airstairs, or you can use noclip to teleport inside.
2). On the F/E's panel, turn on the battery switch. You should see some lights turn on. Make sure not to leave the battery on for too long without the engines on. It should recharge through the GPU but chargers can take a while to restore power.
3). Next, turn the fuel valves near the middle, and the four tank switches on the bottom of the panel.
4). Turn on the four hydraulic system switches. There is an additional AUX hydraulic switch on the overhead panel in case the engines are not producing enough power. This will only work if there is still hydraulic fluid in the system.
5). Turn on the four engine generator switches and then turn on the starters.
6). Turn on GPU power. You can turn this on when you activate the battery but doing it now means all of the engines start at the same time.
7). Sit in the pilot's seat and throttle up to around 10. The engines should start.
8). Turn on the roll damper and the flight director. (Optional)
9). Turn on the anti-ice and the yaw damper. If the temperature outside of the plane drops too much, the hydraulic systems will begin to freeze up. The anti-ice keeps this from happening.
10). Use the button on the F/E panel to release the GPU.
11). You can release the parking brake and take off!

Landing
For landing you can set the throttle to zero, and the plane will keep itself from going too slow. You can also lower the flaps with 1 to lower your speed even more. Just make sure not to let the nose of the plane rise too much. And if the plane is on fire, set the throttle to 30 instead. The throttle limiter will often break if you light the plane on fire, as many things do.

Taxiing
You can turn on nosewheel steering to the left of the pilot seat. This uses thrust vectoring along with the wheels turning because this has the traction of a soap bar
Set the throttle to about 16-20 and you should be good

Extra Features

Failures
Using the panel to the left of the F/E seat, you can trigger failures to happen onboard.
Engine Fire- Makes the selected engine blow up and catch fire
Hydraulic Leak- Leaks fluid out of the selected hydraulic system. Pretty much makes you lose control
Electrical Failure- Drains the battery
Cargo Bay Explosion- Sets off a bomb in the cargo bay, lighting a rapidly spreading fire. Make sure to keep the throttle
above 30!

Paint Schemes
This plane comes in three paint schemes. This one is the United Airlines one, though you can also get one with a generic paint scheme and a NASA flying lab version.

Known Issues
-The front panel shakes sometimes, this is due to blocks clipping and I can't really fix it without messing up the nose
-The engines may turn off if you wait on the ground too long, not sure if this is is actually an issue or if I just had the throttle too low but I may as well put this here

If you find any other problems let me know

And its also very sensitive , but if you turn on the AUX hydraulic system it doesn't become sensitive anymore for me.

It works for me if I turn on the AUX hydraulic system
