Arma 3 Survival

Description
Survival is a spiritual spin-off/successor to the popular mission Dynamic Bulwarks created by Wiltop & Omnomious.

It is a top to bottom complete rewrite of the mission that includes a number of improvements (but also some changes).

As of 0.9.1, mission parameters are configured in the Briefing Map. Click on the "Configure Parameters" button to view the custom GUI. DON'T FORGET TO COMMIT YOUR CHANGES AFTER ADJUSTING SETTINGS. Some parameters can be changed mid-mission while others can't.

You can save profiles and export/import them. Only hosts and admins can commit changes.



If You’re Unfamiliar WIth Dynamic Bulwarks
Survival is at its core a horde mode.

You are (by default) placed in a random location on the map and need to scavenge equipment from around the area. You will face off against more and more enemies each wave that become increasingly skilled (up to a certain point). Every kill earns you points that you can then spend on base building items to fortify your position or offensive supports.

All in a coop environment.


It also supports just about any terrain and modification that add items, weapons, and/or equipment.

What’s Different/New?
I’m forgetting lots of things, mostly fixes, but this is the gist:
  • Mission parameter GUI.
  • Brand new shop GUI (check pictures). Has a community pool of purchased supports and build items.
  • Vanilla drag system.
  • The ability to play at a designated area selected through the map (check mission parameters).
  • New build items from the vanilla game and the inclusion of RHS and Operation Trebuchet objects.
  • New build item manipulation actions allowing more freedom to move objects to your liking. (Also fixed issues with objects being unable to move when done by a player that did not purchase them).
  • Custom factions that you can change through the mission parameters. Supports RHS-USAF, RHS-AFRF, Operation Trebuchet, Operation Trebuchet First Contact, and OPCAN 3.0 from the community and also adds in several vanilla factions now to choose from.
  • Enemy tier system that has 5 levels, you can change each faction to match a level.
  • A community pool for depositing them for group use (part of new shop UI).
  • ACE medical support (details below).
  • Several new supports that include CAS strikes, helicopter gunner, and Blackfish gunner just to name a few. The more silly ones have been removed.
  • TFAR considerations (details below).
  • More loot categories for a better spread of spawned items.
  • A much larger array of weapons and items now spawn (such as grenades and pistols).
  • A Dynamic View Distance Limiter GUI that allows you to set visual parameters and an FPS target to adjust to.
  • A Music Manager jukebox GUI that allows hosts and admins to build and save playlists. This is multiplayer synced so as long as a person has the music, they will hear it at the same time, if not, no harm done.
  • A mission parameter to allow you to set a maximum number of alive enemies at any one time. Enemies wait in a queue until a unit has died.
  • Every wave ammo drops are no longer present, instead, weapon drops have been increased.

ACE
In short, to use the ACE medical system, just change the vanilla revive mode in the mission parameters to “Disabled”. All other settings are up to the server/host addon settings. You can still use the “Heal Yourself” action on the crate and you will also be revived if unconscious when a wave ends. The vanilla drag will be disabled if ACE is loaded. You can also self interact to open up the support menu.

TFAR & ACRE
Everyone should spawn with 152s or 343s respectively provided the mission parameter to have a radio is set to on.

Notes
  • Supports both dedicated servers and/or headless clients.

  • The Zombies & Demons factions are bugged and I am working to resolve them, you should avoid them. Their issues are: shooting near them causes them to stop moving and starting from wave 0 causes them to T-pose.

  • Built objects and doorways/roads do not mix well. The vanilla AI have different pathing for roads and buildings that basically boils down to nothing gets in there way if they are just moving somewhere (phasing through objects). This doesn't happen too much when the AI is in combat as they detect and use those same placed objects as cover. There is a script to stop the AI from walking through these objects, but it is not perfect and never will be. Just be mindful when placing objects in these sensitive areas. It helps to try and funnel AI rather than completely blocking entry.

So this mod supports OPTRE and 40K but how do I get the special characters to be able to put the SPECIAL armors (Astartes or HALO Marine) ????
