Trimaran - WaterWorld

"The World wasn't created in a flood, it was covered by one"

With the popularity of the Water Mod, and my love of the classic 90s film Water World, I decided
to recreate the main trimaran sailing yacht, in 1:1 scale for a more realistic user experience... or something like that.

Specs:

Length: 20m long - life size ( real trimaran was a modified ORMA 60 class ocean racing vessel - 60 foot/18 meters long )
Mass: 146,429 kg
Blocks: 3,438
Speed: ~30m/s ( ~60mph, the real thing does about 45mph apparently ).
PCU: 10,130

Features:

100% vanilla
Survival ready
Cryo Chamber, Survival kit, medium cargo container, Gatling turret, Gatling cannon, Ore Detector, O2/H2 Generator, Batteries & Solar array
Loaded with essential supplies so you can get up & running right away- small cargo container in front of the mast.

Summary:

Due to the lack of sails in vanilla SE and the enormous amount of weight armour blocks would add if I created them from those blocks, I opted to make the Trimaran in it's 'trawler' configuration with its sails hidden and the 'egg-beater' wind turbine deployed instead ( it doesn't rotate on this recreation unfortunately- just for looks ), with the solar panels acting as the sun shades suspended over the hulls. Still, the silhouette is unmistakable to any fan of the movie and the general appearance is as faithful as humanly possible without using mods.


Important note:

The Trimaran itself is vanilla and requires no mods to function- perfect if you are already running a modded world with the water mod installed. If you aren't however then you will need to subscribe to the Water mod & Text hud API to fully appreciate this creation- I also highly recommend subscribing to the Water planet for a better experience ( no underwater trees & grass.... ). Everything you need is listed on the right under 'required items' if you aren't already subscribed.
