New Secondary Weapons

Description
Feel free to add me if you want to play online with this addon.

Changes Uzi and pump action shotgun into secondary weapons, with unlimited ammo. Both of these weapons were redundant IMO, they had their niche, but making them into secondaries makes way more sense.

I've tried the other mods available on the workshop, but they all either move the gun simply to secondary slot and give it infinite ammo, add tons of slots or make lots of ridiculous changes, like a pump action shotgun with a capacity of 16 shots ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). That's why I tried to be as transparent about the changes as possible and not make any drastic alterations apart from the Uzi and the shotgun. (and the scout and awp and hunting rifle)

When compared to the originals, pump action shotgun has slightly increased pellet spread, magazine capacity and range were cut in half, intended as a short barreled shotgun, like a 1887 or Serbu Super-Shorty (both available on the workshop).


As for the Uzi, it was intended as a machine pistol, like a Glock 18, CZ-75 Automatic and so on.
It has reduced mag capacity, down to 33. Massively increased spread and increased rate of fire, up to around 1100 rounds per minute.
Both spawn at tier 2 now, smg for rifles and pump for shotguns, deal the same damage as their originals, 10*25 for pump action and 20 for smg.

New addition to the secondaries is the AWP, it's supposed to be single shot, so it has a cooldown of 2.5 seconds between shots, damage of 120, when standing still nearly perfect accuracy. The reason I chose AWP over Scout for this role is a Thompson G2 Contender replacer for it. It's also the reason why this gun has a capacity of 20, I've done this so you wouldn't have to watch a double reload every shot or 2 shots (it's animation for working the bolt is a reload, when it was single shot you had to watch the bolt animation and then the reload immediately after)

Scout was reworked to be a high power sniper rifle, 250 damage, same as AWP before, mag capacity still 10, but it's completely remade when it comes to accuracy and rate of fire. It has a cycle time of 1 shot per second, so if you really need to you can spam it in close quarters, but to place accurate shots you'll need to wait around 3 seconds.

Hunting rifle was made into a M1 Garand, I still wasn't satisfied with the minor changes I've made to the hunting rifle previously, it made it more balanced in my opinion, but it was still kinda samey. And then it hit me, make into an M1.
It's as accurate as the military sniper, but has worse recoil recovery (vertical punch 2.5 from 1 or 1.5, can't recall, spread per shot 3.5 from 1, max spread to 25 from 15, spread decay 6 from 8), higher damage (130), increased rate of fire (0.20 from 0.25) and reduced mag capacity from 15 to 8. I'd argue that it's weaker, but it's definitely different now. Let me know what you think, if you don't like it I can always revert this change.


And here are the more miniscule changes:
Pistols: only a rate of fire increase from 0.175 to 0.145, again, mostly for better feeling, I always hated when it throttled me back when using them. It still does though.

Magnum: rate of fire from 0.3 per second to 0.2 per second.

M16: increase it's rate of fire from 650 to around 800, it was inferior to the css sig in every way , it has a zoom functionality and a slightly higher rate of fire while the rest of it's stats are a carbon copy. Well not anymore, now the M16 has the edge in when it comes to rof (0.75 M16 vs. SIGs 0.825, M16 previosuly had 0.875).

MP5: Spread per shot to 0.3 from 0.35, standing spread from 1.1 to 1.0, crouching spread from 0.75 to 0.65. Makes it closer to the vanilla uzi except it fires slower, deals 4 more points of damage and is very slightly more accurate.
AK:negligible increase in rate of fire, to a straight 600 RPM. May be unnecessary, but I can't handle the AK firing at anything less than 600 RPM.

All the CS:S weapons were also flipped to the right side.

Apart from the guns mentioned here, nothing's changed.

and so on, of course this mod will work any model you use, some scripts may interfere though.

This mod will work on locally hosted servers and single player games. If there's anyone using this I'll consider editing vanilla icons to better match the UI, personally I don't care too much about that.

You're the boss, you do that and i'd appreciate it. I dont really understand how all the modding stuff like authoring tools and gcf works along with any manual changing of files. Which sucks for me because if i could i'd make a halo gun pack for ravenfield actually, but thats off topic.

I'd disagree with them being fine, but that's beside the point. If you're fine with the stats that are in this mod for the pump action then sure, I can just extract that one file and put it up for you. Or if you don't wanna wait you can do it yourself with GCFScape.

i would like to ask if you could make a addon that only throws the pump into a secondary while changing it stats too fit such a place. You are right that the addons currently for it are ridiculous instead of something simple and logical. I just dont want to mess with all the other guns when theyre fine

Nah, you were right if you were talking about L4D1 campaigns, the SMG didn't spawn at all there, it did spawn in L4D2 campaigns though. I also noticed I haven't added some OG survivors hands to weapons. Once I figure out the spawning I'll push an update.
