[UMW40K] Orax - Looming Damnation

Description
Important note: Be sure to activate the latest versions of UMW and ASV BEFORE you activate [ASV-3] Orax - Looming Damnation, or else HORRIBLE THINGS WILL HAPPEN D: -You'll know if you've done it right if the music changes.

4-player Co-op is now available! These missions were designed primarily for singleplayer however, there may be balancing issues with Cooperative play.

After 9 years 238 days in development, hopefully it would have been worth the wait. Behold: the second mission of the Orax series. At the cost of my left appendix and part of my sanity. This was never meant to be released on Halloween, but since it did, hopefully it's grim enough.

Unlike the first mission, this used everything possible to ensure you save memory and not fry your potato. Additionally, since this ridiculously more scripted than the first, there will probably be more bugs, please report any so I can effectively squash them.

Report any balance issues, if it's too dark, or one of your soldiers can't shoot the broadside of a barn, as well.

This mod includes one mission that was bisected.
It was a good move for memory sake. I recommend you restart your game after completing one in order for maximum, un-interupted playthrough.

Set music levels to fitting levels for MAXIMUM IMMERSION... or not have any at all, listen to the death, crescendo.

All music used will have their titles inside the .txt in the mod's "music" folder.

Random tips:
  • Curiosity killed the cat, but rewarded the fox.

The First Mission!

The Third Mission!

All in one!

Compiled credits:
  • Corpses and flashlights from older mod versions, which are from Dark Sintera once more.
  • VanRaygo for those spooky covered bodies.
  • SalvadorTrakal[www.deviantart.com] for that one guardsman image.[www.deviantart.com] (his other art is... wha-)

And finally, random trivia time!
  • 210 days building the map, 25 days mission scripting, 3 days testing...
  • Several features were cut from the final release, but for the sake of blueballing, I will only reveal that there was supposed to be an alternate path somewhere.
  • New voicelines brought to you by Shellshock™.
  • It was only during the development of this mission did I discover the Ori games... they didn't impede on productivity, I promise.
  • I love Costco hotdogs.

Orax has undergone a major gameplay overhaul, including objective, combat, and brightness changes. Alongside performance and crashing fixes, you can read more changes in the change notes. Please report any issues in the discussions.

To whoever made the church defense mission, WH40K is called grim dark, not pitch black.

You can try and place units in the editor in F3 mode and only from the multiplayer (mp) menu, otherwise it will sometimes crash. If this problem only happens when using this mod, there may be some file problems between the main UMW mod, though this mod was designed for singleplayer and not editor use.

Its all the way up with my gamma but I'll see if I can find the crates with the flashlights since the ONE guy wasn't helping at all when he wasn't pointing the right way lol. I'll give that a try thanks for helping.

The darkness is a rather big part of the mission and, unfortunately, I could not tweak it to be brighter without messing up several other parts. Although it's built so that you can actually still see, if it's too dark for your monitor, you can try upping your screen's brightness/gamma and saturation. If it helps, there are also several flashlights stored around.

Im sure this is awesome... BUT I CAN"T SEE ANYTHING! Its WAY to dark and as far as I can tell there is no way to up the brightness so I can't complete the mission cause I can't see anything to tell where the heck im going
