Interesting Treasures

Description
Interesting Treasures adds 68 treasures to nations throughout the Imperator Rome world. New treasure locations have been marked on the treasure map - it’s not very accurate.

Unfortunately the way Paradox have implemented Treasures makes it impossible to change the existing treasure icons without breaking compatibility with most larger mods, so this mod only adds new treasures.

If you have suggestions for new Treasures please post below. I’ve only added treasures that have some historical sources and/or are likely to have existed.


Compatibility:
  • Imperator Rome version 2.0 'Marius'.
  • Does not overwrite any vanilla files.
  • Already integrated into Invictus mod - don't use both.
  • Should work with most mods.
  • Not achievement compatible.

I guess that some of these treasures start the game as being in some kingdoms' reliquaries instead of in their temples, because I failed to find the Phoenician Votice Statues on the game map of Temples when I looked around Phoenicia and Carthage. Plus, Aphrodites' statue is in Antigones' Reliquary, but not in any of Antigones' temples.

I liked that you put in the 2nd Temple Menorah as a treasure. I have been playing as Judea in the vanilla version of the game, and have avoided putting pagan artifacts into my temples, since I have been trying to have Judea follow Judaism in the game. In the vanilla game, Jacob's stone seems to be the only game relic that matches the theme of Judea's 2nd Temple.
