[WOTC] Consequences of Capture

Description
OVERVIEW
neIVIesis asked me to make a mod that adds consequences when soldiers get captured.. so here it is!

In vanilla, when soldiers get rescued, they just come back to the squad as if nothing ever happened.

With this mod, rescued soldiers won't come back as fresh as a watermelon anymore. Captivity is supposed to be a traumatic experience and this mod tries to reflect that by adding three consequences to captured soldiers.

Will Consequence
  • Soldiers have a chance to get Shaken during captivity (50% by default)
  • If the roll for Shaken fails, soldiers will be guaranteed to return Tired

Fear Consequence
  • Soldiers have a chance to get a random Fear Trait during captivity (50% by default)
  • If captured by a Chosen, "Fear of Chosen" will be prioritized

Gear Consequence
  • Soldiers have a chance to lose all their unique gear during captivity (100% by default)

CONFIGURATION
The configuration files should be in the following location:
<Your Steam Install> \steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2251732132\Config\XComConsequencesOfCapture.ini

You can alter the chance for each consequence to happen and add/remove any trait from the list of possible fears.

COMPANION MODS
I recommend the following mods:

COMPATIBILITY
This mod changes the GiveReward functions of two mission Reward Templates:
  • Reward_SoldierCaptured
  • Reward_ChosenSoldierCaptured

The mod is compatible with any mod that doesn't alter the same functions.
It is safe to add/remove mid campaign.

A double-cross rescue where the rescued soldier in reality is a faceless that will attack his team on next mission when confronting next hard enemy would be cooler.

Would it be possible to add permanent stat penalties to captured soldiers? To simulate them being unable to train and maybe injuries from being tortured while in captivity?

Maybe positive consequences will be nice, like get intel (the soldier gets some info) and promotion (the soldier survived, after all)

using this mod, I lost 3 spider suits and my "frozone spider spider suit"

The objective would make it possible to recover the gear. "Possible" does not have to mean "easy". I think it would be a good idea.

The optional gear recovery objective sounds pretty cool imo!
