Description
Description
The Sculpin is a small cargo hauler. It's cheap and affordable and is therefor a popular submarine to start with for many new aspiring cargo transporting captains. The submarine power system is greatly underdimension and which may be a bit frustrating but purchasing the right upgrades can make it more stable however should you if you are planning to buy a new sub after? Well its up to you as a captain. In the end the Sculpin, while bulky and wonky, It will serve as a good steppingstone in a cargo captains career before they can buy a more suitable cargo sub.

Authors Notes
This submarine is designed for campaign but can of course be used for missions. This is a starter sub that you can afford when starting campaigns. I wanted to make a sub that would be the first stepping stone in ones campaign as a cargo-submarineer. I also wanted to experiment with the engine placement and not have it in the rear like many subs do. While the electrical system is fairly stable and the reactor is somewhat under dimensioned to what the sub needs and batteries may have to be used at times. Junction boxes are distributed all around the sub which makes the engineer have to move around the sub. I left the sub fairly barebone on the wiring and logic circuit compartment to allow for savvy player engineers to come up with their own solutions and innovations. I have myself installed a multitude of different myself in my campaign I used to play test this sub with my friends. It may seam strange that I only included a deconstructor and no fabricator but with this sub you have to borrow the outpost fabricator (if they got one that you docked with) until you can afford another submarine with such equipment.
A sub to buy after the Sculpin in your campaign could be the ZU-B Freighter "Zubmarine"

Right, Sadly I think this is not fault of my design. I experienced this myself and it appears to be a game thing, but it only applies on outer hatches facing the water. There is actually no platform there to stop the items from falling. I sadly can not do anythign about it.

Awesome litte sub, but it seems things get stuck in the cargohatch, ie they don't fall down into the sub (bodies do though).
