The Rum Runner [T2] Variant is Galactic Expansion Industries answer to cargo transport in high gravity environments. This variants geared towards cargo operations in high gravity and contested areas. It features increased maneuverability, defensive systems & enhanced performance. It was designed to take some hits and more than enough firepower to defend itself if attacked but focuses on out maneuvering & outrunning its foes rather than fighting. It also has a drill turret for asteroid mining. Gotta make some extra profit on the side right?

Author's note: after a long and exhaustive search of the workshop I could not find a good light transport for high gravity environments so I came back to this build and decided to give it a new purpose in a under represented role. Thus my overhaul began. I first started out just making it into light cargo transport for myself. I thought with how many ways people could upgrade the rum runner to fit their needs it would not be worth uploading a new variant. So after a resource run turned into a disastrous ordeal I refocused the upgrade process. Thus this ship was forged. Upon nearing completion I noticed I could still get it under CPU T2 by shaving the RCS and some well chosen thruster placements to compensate for lack of RCS. So here it is!
