  • New features could be generated on mountain tiles: Mountain Streams and Bleak.
  • New Encampment district buildings can be built on mountains: Mountain Training Range and Mountain Water Obstacle Training Range.
  • New Pantheon belief: Mistress Of The Copper Mountain.

Base Terrain Yields
  • Grass Mountain: +1 Food and +1 Production
  • Plains Mountain: +1 Production
  • Desert Mountain: +1 Production
  • Tundra Mountain: +1 Production
  • Snow Mountain: no yields

New Mountain Tile Features
  • Mountain Stream: +1 Food and +1 Production. Provides fresh water to the adjacent tiles.
  • Bleak: +1 Faith, -1 Food, -1 Production

Improvements
  • Mountain Mine. +1 Production and some techonologies provide up to +4 Production in late game. Could be built on mountain tile, provides strategic or luxury resource from that tile. Gives bonus production to adjacent Industrial Zone district (+1 Production for each 2 adjacent mountain mines). Requires Mining tech and State Workforce civic.

  • Mountain Hamlet. +1 Culture and +0.5 Housing and +3% Growth rate to the nearest city (growth rate bonuses from the several hamlets are added). Provides +1 Food extra if built on bonus resource that already provides food (Sheeps for example). Could be built on mountain tiles.

  • Anchorite Hovel. Makes tile non-workable. Could be built using the Anchorite unit (it is a new religious unit with only one function to built the hovel) on Bleak mountain tiles. Provides 5% faith purchase cost discount in the nearest city (discounts from several hovels are added). Missionaries and Apostles bought in the nearest city receive +1 Sight range and +1 Movement on friendly territory. Anchorite unit requires Holy Site for purchase.

  • Volcanothermal Plant. +2 Production and +2 Science and +4 energy from geothermal source (similar to Geothermal Plant). Could be built on Volcano tile. Requires Future Era tech: Smart Materials.

Recon, melee, ranged, light cavalry, ranged cavalry and anti-cavalry, units trained in this city receive +10 Combat Strength when fighting adjacent to the mountain and faster Movement on Hill terrain. But in exchange for slower military unit production in this city (for unit classes which receive bonuses).

  • Mountain Water Obstacle Training Range. Can be built on mountain tile with Mountain Streams feature adjacent to the Encampment district. Recon, melee, ranged, light cavalry, ranged cavalry and anti-cavalry, units trained in this city receive +15 HP per turn when adjacent to Mountain stream and could ignore enemy ZOC when adjacent to the river and also could cross the rivers faster. But in exchange for slower military unit production in this city (for unit classes which receive bonuses).

  • Changed: Religious Idols. Also affect mountain mines.

One thing to keep in mind is that your units cannot move onto mountain tiles but the AI can. It will also create cities on mountain tiles and the only way to capture them is to use a map editor that will allow you to change the tile type. otherwise it works really well. I would use it with " More Build areas for wonders. "

Hi Zur13,
your mod has been translated by ASM590319 into German and the translation is now part of the German translations for Civilization VI mods mod pack.
We would be more than happy if you could refer to the language translation in your mod description.

Shame this mod is outdated, would have loved to have used a mod like this. I really hope in Civ7 they have some bonus/lux/strat resources and overall just yields (less like Tundra) from Mountains with little features like streams. It would also be cool to see like Sandbar in Coastal tiles next to flat land, like how the hills next to Coastal tiles have Cliffs, maybe even Crag Islets next to in the Coastal tile, that could slow boat speeds,even sandbars too, like the Kelp & Reefs in Sukritact's Ocean's MOD. They could even make some impassible (in early game at least) canyon river features on tiles borders. Then we could get a Grand Canyon Natural Wonder, like Cliffs of Dover, and impassible features in mountains like Glacial Mountain or High Peaks that you can't traverse between, but then others you can that are valleys (think Switzerland) that provide extra Mountain Food yields that could spawn Sheep or Goats as a resource.

This needs an update particularly to address the issues highlighted in the comments below

@Gilgamesh For Machu Picchu compatibility, you can add this code to your files:
<Building_ValidFeatures>
<Row BuildingType="BUILDING_MACHU_PICCHU" FeatureType="FEATURE_AMIFT_MOUNTAIN_STREAMS"/>
<Row BuildingType="BUILDING_MACHU_PICCHU" FeatureType="FEATURE_AMIFT_BLEAK"/>
</Building_ValidFeatures>

I dunno, maybe the author is no longer working on this mod or has pasted away. has not even upgraded in 2 years. Wish there was a way to contact them other than this way.

I found an incompatibility with Harmony in Diversity. Database.log seems to say that it couldn't put in the gold resource, causing a load error.

Does the mountain mine add towards the "Engineering" tech's Eureka ("Build 3 mines")? And if not, could this be added?
