Description

Bitumen upgrading is a process by which bitumen is transformed into light oil by fractionation and chemical treatment, removing virtually all traces of sulphur and heavy metals. The resulting oil can then be further refined into fuel.

Requires 25 workers

Consumes:
10 t of bitumen
0.05 t of chemicals
5 t of coal
6 Mw of power

Produces:
8.5 t of fuel

Credits: The model is the default Chemical Plant from the game by 3Division with a custom skin

This is intended for those who play with hard/cosmonaut rules, where selling oil/fuel/bitumen is not allowed, and this provides a mechanism to transform bittumen into fuel and not block the fuel production at the refinery and avoid having to build endless storages for excess bittumen.
