The Ship -

A mega powerful and extremely tough destroyer with pretty impressive speed capabilities considering it was achieved without a mass drive. It has a huge crew area, nearly 80% of the ship, meaning it is a highly effective transport as well as a flagship. It has an incredible amount of guns and coupled with it's stunning array of armour, I can nearly 100% promise it can win any battle with any ship with a similar block count. A genuine masterpiece in my mind, as it pushes the boundary of what I can possibly achieve in this game. Due to it's compartmented design, safe rooms and other locations on the ship will remain pressurised and safe until the ship is completely immobilised. A very good ship.

The Story -

In +16, HOSS's building reputation brought on an unexpected surprise. Losec, the 6th richest country on the planet, wanted HOSS to sign up as their out-of-atmo military, as we shared common enemies and they respected our work. The deals went ahead, suddenly allowing the building of much larger vessels in a much larger quantity, much faster. By +17, as the Sovenese introduced what was regarded as the most powerful ship in the world, the Sovena Military Megarig, HOSS was left with an issue. As main enemy groups had also formed alliances, their ships were beginning to out size, out gun and out perform any HOSS ship of the time, the Megarig was a prime example of this. In response, HOSS took nearly half a year planning a super-sized ship, a dreadnought, three times the length of a Chronocruiser and about ten times the weight. This ship would also have incredible speed and mobility due to a brand new design of fusion engine, and would have the crew space to carry 150 people with medical rooms, work areas, gardens, etc. The cost was huge for our budget at the time, even with the Losec deal in place, they only agreed to let us have the money to build one, as long as we could prove it was worth it. Two years later (+19), the ship was complete and ready for service, and christened the 'Losec' in memorial of the country we were now fighting for as well. At just over 300m long, it took the title of largest spacecraft ever built, and had such an arsenal of weaponry, ranging from over 100 machine guns to its 4 mega-cannons on the front. It's armour was twice as strong as that of the Megarig and nearly ten times that of the Raptor, meaning virtually nothing could even think of attacking it. It served for the next 20 years as an incredibly powerful ship, in the next decade, it was down graded to destroyer class due to how huge ships eventually got. It was taken out of service at the beginning of the next major war, just over four decades after the dawn of HOSS, but continued as a large, heavy transport, outdated yet still incredibly powerful. It was the first of many 'Uniques', ships that have no class and there is only one of, generally gifted to the best captains in the fleet.
