Omschrijving
The City Planet.

v0.3:
Water mod! Props! More!
v0.3:
Major Visual Overhaul
v0.2:
Now with oceans!
v0.1.2:
Ores are now random
v0.1.1:
Now with custom ambient sounds

Teralis is the first ecumenopolis in space engineers. A planet covered entirely by a city.

All the buildings are built out of voxels just like a normal planet, only arranged to look like buildings.

Took me a long time to get this far, but there is still a long way to go.
This version is the first somewhat playable prototype version. I didn't want to keep this all secluded and since there is still a long way to go I thought I might as well publish an early testing version to the workshop.
Btw this is my first mod.

This planet is now compatible with the water mod, you can use it with the mod or without. Both are perfectly fine. The water spawns in automatically if the water mod is active in your world.

Fun fact: the heightmap is a whopping 270 million pixels, compared to the default 4 million.

Have fun messing around with it!

Stats:
-Highly! Recommended size: 19 km
-Gravity: 0.9 g
-Atmosphere: 1 atm (breathable)
-Ores: All
-Buildings: ~800.000

How to Use:
-Subscribe on this page
-During loading/ creating a new world, go to options->mods
-Add this mod to the list of active mods
-Ingame: shift+f10, select planets, select this one, spawn it in
(might freeze your game for a while)
-If shift+f10 doesn't work, alt+f10->tick creative tools

Important:
In order for it to look good, follow these steps
-Spawn it in with a size of 19 km and not a meter more
-In your graphics settings, set shaders to high (glowing lights, gpu heavy)
-Set voxel quality to atleast high (extreme is better, but eats ram and gpus for breakfast)

Technical Details:
-File Size: 292 mb (50 mb audio, 180 mb textures, 60 mb heightmap)
-Heightmap res: 16384x16384px
-Heightmap is 8 bit for technical reason (not recommended for any other planet)
-Heightmap made with gimp and a lot of sweat and tears
-The drone-like particles are spawned in through the weather
-custom ambient sounds (not really, I stole them from me-catalyst)

I'm just as impressed with the Depth of Field in the video, was this purely post editing of the video? Or is there some clever way to have this ingame?

The intelligence and creativity of modders like this just COMPLETELY blow my mind.
What an absolutely amazing mod! I cannot fathom the amount of work this would take.
FANTASTIC work!

Great mod, love the look and feel. I like the drones in the air, and the PA system, nice touch.
Followed instructions. Haven't found any ores. I assume that I did something incorrectly. Grabbed a mod with extended range on the ore detector, no ore within 5km. Thoughts?

I would like to see earthlike planet with few small cities like this on the surface. It would be awesome to fly between them or build railway network :)

This must be a lag fest of biblical proportions lol. Great work though :)
