Cut Content: High Elf Regiments of Renown - With Official Voice Acting!

This is the sequel to my other mod; Cut Content: Skaven Regiments of Renown - With Official Voice Acting!. Similar to the Skaven, the High Elves have voice line files in the game for unused regiments of renown. This mod attempts to implement several of these units back into the game as 'officially' as possible, including custom textures, custom card arts, new abilities and icons, proper balancing and most noticeably, the unique voice overs. Ultimately, next to nothing is known about these units other than their names, so the units are more or less entirely custom, made from a mix of inference, lore hints, and in-game references and possibilities.
This mod is save-game compatible. End your turn to refresh the RoR list.

Units
Reverants of Khaine
Unit: Spearmen
Context: This RoR is mentioned in the 'Uniforms and Heraldry of the High Elves' book. The lore states that they are the guardians of the Sword of Khaine on the Blighted Isle. Their uniform colors and ability icon are directly sourced from that material.
Unique Attributes: Murderous Expertise; An activated version of the murderous prowess passive ability seen on most Dark Elf units. The theory here being that as High Elf worshippers of Khaine, these spearmen have both the ability and discipline to use the effect at will.

Scythe of Isha
Unit: Silver Helms
Context: I have found no official material regarding "The Scythe of Isha", but scythe wielding cavalry came to mind. Silver Helms were chosen as both Ellyrian Reavers and Dragon Princes have RoRs. Isha, being the Elven Goddess of life and harvest, led me to use green as their primary coloration. The touch of purple comes from the flower on their scythes.
Unique Attributes: Unique scythe wielding variant of Silver Helms with AP. They also cause fear.

Eagle's Beak
Unit: Eagle Claw Bolt Throwers
Context: I have found no official material regarding "Eagle's Beak". The name, while seeming incomplete to me, lends itself obviously to the Eagle Claw Bolt Thrower. I donned them with the coloration of the guards at Eagle Gate, and filled in the lore that they are stationed there.
Unique Attributes: Projectiles sunder enemy armor, reducing it by 30.

Balance
  • The RoRs are unlocked at appropriate lord levels in campaign.
  • The RoRs have stats equivalent to their base unit at rank 9 (except Scythe of Isha, which are equipped with a different weapon than standard Silver Helms, and their stats reflect this)
  • Cost and upkeep were calculated from finding the average increase from a standard unit to its RoR (1.2x cost and 1.3x upkeep, roughly)
  • The RoRs should be properly affected by relevant lord skills and techs.

Compatibility and Issues
This mod should be 'compatible' with anything, as far as I know. I have tested that it is compatible with my other mods. Please comment if any compatibility issue or other error is found and I'll look into it.

Hello there.
The name of the "Reverants of Khaine" seems to be misspelled. They are supposed to be the "Revenants of Khaine" (with an "n" instead of the second "r"), as per the regiment in lore.

The pronunciation of their name when you select them could be either or the two, but I'm sure it's meant to be "revenants", as "reverents" isn't a real word. "Reverant" is, but it exists only in adjective form, not as a noun.

Hey murderous expertise adds %missile ap damage shoudln't it be weapon damage for units withoutt missiles?

Wouldn't the Scythe of Isha most likely be a chariot RoR? You could take chariots with scythed wheels in various editions of TT.

True but to keep them as a Silver Helm unit i would say swap the scythes out and give them spears, not lances, that would keep them unique. Alternatively give them both lances & shields.
As long as the unit is not only wearing lances, that always looked abit silly i think :P.
The armor they are wearing can allways be tweaked abit to make them stand out even more. Dryrain/Hooveric is a great inspiration for how to spice up and diversify units.
