Cut Content: Skaven Regiments of Renown - With Official Voice Acting!

Description
THIS VERSION OF THE MOD WILL NO LONGER BE UPDATED. PLEASE SWITCH TO THE NEW VERSION HERE.

Back in 2018, a selection of then unused voice lines were discovered in the game files seen here. After a quick search, to my surprise, they're still in the files. This mod attempts to implement several of these units back into the game as 'officially' as possible, including custom textures, custom card arts, new abilities and icons, proper balancing and most noticeably, the unique voice overs. Ultimately, next to nothing is known about these units other than their names, so the units are more or less entirely custom, made from a mix of inference, lore hints, and in-game references and possibilities.
This mod is save-game compatible. End your turn to refresh the RoR list.

Units
The Needless-Less
Unit: Skavenslaves
Context: I have found no official material regarding "The Needless-Less". The name made me think of skavenslaves, though. I came up with the ability for them first, and filled in the flavor after that.
Unique Attributes: He Watches Me-Me!; A very powerful passive ability that keeps models from dying while leadership is high. This is a bound version of the 'Da' Immortulz' banner unique to Grimgor. I thought it would be interesting to apply such a powerful ability to such a weak unit. You'll quickly see how much it depends on being on a strong unit to be 'broken'.

The Skurry-Stabbers
Unit: Clanrats
Context: The Skurry-Stabbers are the most vicious of Clan Treecherik's clawpacks. Infamously murderous in a clan of serial backstabbers, any leader of the pack is quite short lived. The bright red of their uniforms represents the banner of their clan. Ideally, they would wear shields on their backs as described in lore, but I have not been able to successfully implement it.
Unique Attributes: Unique dual sword variant of clanrats with anti-infantry

Hallscurry's Chosen
Unit: Clanrat Spears - Shields
Context: Clan Mange is known for 2 things primarily; their odd piebald fur coats, and their unusual sense of loyalty among Skaven (when paid). Warlord Hallscurry was a once powerful figure in the clan, made only more prominent when the Verminlord, The Screaming One (the same seen in the Vortex Campaign), selected him to conquer Fozzrik's Flying Fastness in the badlands. Ultimately, he failed in this quest, though.
Unique Attributes: Frenzy and additional leadership

Clan Rictus Deathvermin
Unit: Stormvermin - Sword & Shield
Context: Probably the most recognizable RoR in the list, the stormvermin of Clan Rictus are known for being larger and stronger than those of other clans. Clad in the traditional black of the clan, they also inherently gain immune to psych as implied from the unique building chain at Crookback Mountain.
Unique Attributes: immune to psych, Clan Rictus Supreme: A passive AOE buff to allies when the Deathvermin are in combat. Being the best fighters in the Under-Empire, other rats would do well to watch and learn from them in action.

Scabrous Elders of the Pox
Unit: Plague Monks
Context: There is no official mention of "Scabrous Elders of the Pox", but the quote used in their flavor text was said by a character of the name "Scabrous Pox, Seneschal of Onogal", so I must assume that's what the original intent was from.
Unique Attributes: Bound Spell - Bless With Filth

The Gaseous Ones
Unit: Poison Wind Globadiers
Context: No official reference to "The Gaseous Ones", but the name is clearly indicative of Poison Wind Globadiers or Death Globe Bombardiers. The neon green uniforms are inspired by Clan Vrrtkin, who are obsessed with using the chemical weapons.
Unique Attributes: Noxious Fumes: A passive AOE damage effect that activates when in combat. Hits both friendly and enemy units, as poison wind doesn't discriminate. Use with care! (or not, its the Skaven way)

Great Claws of Feesik
Unit: Plague Claw Catapult
Context: Clan Feesik is unofficially known as the 'Brown-nose" clan to Clan Pestilens, as they constantly suck up to the great clan for continued protection from their many foes.
Unique Attributes:More Poxes, More Buboes!: A unique active ability that buffs the artillery shots with additional damage and imbues them with poison (which they surprisingly normally aren't).

Balance
  • The RoRs are unlocked at appropriate lord levels in campaign.
  • The RoRs have stats equivalent to their base unit at rank 9 (except Hallscurry's Chosen, who have additional leadership)
  • Cost and upkeep were calculated from finding the average increase from a standard unit to its RoR (1.2x cost and 1.3x upkeep, roughly)
  • The RoRs should be properly affected by relevant lord skills and techs.
  • As far as I know, there is no way to make skavenslaves unbreakable in vanilla, so the Needless-Less should not be able to be fully immortal.
  • It might be considered OP to have access to so many RoR's (2 DLC's worth + workshop units + these 7), but eh, campaign is ultimately meant to be fun, ain't it?
  • I've received comments that the RoRs might be instantly re-recruitable once destroyed or disbanded. I have not tested this myself yet. If so, its unlikely to be fixed due to how the mod implements them into campaign. Sorry.

Compatibility and Issues
This mod should be 'compatible' with anything, as far as I know. I haven't tested it, but I doubt these RoR's will be available to custom factions. Please comment if any compatibility error is found and I'll look into it.
I've received comments that the RoRs are not available to Clan Skryre in Mortal Empires. I don't know what causes this, nor does there seem to be a fix, as they are implemented to Clan Skryre's unit pool correctly, as they work in Vortex, and they work for all other factions in both campaigns.

Check out my other mods!

@DeuSexMachina88
It's just how I calculated their cost/upkeep values based on the average of other RORs compared to their base units. Seemed like the easiest way to balance it.

Thanks, great mod, but why Hallscurry's Chosen are so expensive? they are still far forse than stromvermin with halberds yet cost almost the same per turn.

We need an SFO version

Heard from Aex that the ROR cooldown is broken. Even Imriks dragons share the same issue.

Nvm, talked to Aex, it's a db issue of mine. Took me a million years to figure that out! Have a good one!

From what I can see, you're for most part the script writer :P As you've edited parts of Aex's script. So I guess you're the one to contact haha!

I seem to be unable to replicate this script to be used for my custom ROR unit. I will see if I can contact the script writer about this issue, but I have read that there seem to be current issues with the script. Used script load debugger, executed successfully.

Unit works in custom battle, but is not available in mercenary pool (aka ROR pool).
