increases the overcolonization limit 3x

It should work as long there is no new update to the game. At least no big one. I uploaded a similar mod about a year ago which stopped working after the game got updated How ever, I have no "know how" in modding. I just googled and copy pasted bits of code and got lucky. :)

Thanks to "acesahn" for his post on Steam which helped me finding the location of the code. :)

Yep, all these 2x, 3x, 8x, and 16x Overcolonization mods are broke with the 1.5.60 update. To mod yourself - go to file: SimulationDescriptors[Empire] and look for: "Galaxy info" section. The modding happens with the OverColonizationThreshold lines. Edit at your own risk of course!

This appears to be broken with the latest update. I try starting or loading a game with this enabled, and the game freezes at the end of the game created/loaded point.

You might like this: In the XML file, the Operation part of the "OverColonizationConstant" tag is a mathematical operation, so if you want your population to be happier as you get more colonies, use Operation="Subtraction" .

It FEEL like that the AI don't have problem with Overcolonization.

Thanks for the mod, I think the AI doesn't have that debuff is it the possibilty?
